One to stay at again

Great location, stone throw away from the centre to go round the shops and restaurants, breakfast was amazing. I felt bad leaving some of it cause it was so deliciously filling, a place now close to my heart in keswick as my now fiancé proposed to me during our stay in the town

Highly recommended

Excellent location 5 minute walk into the centre of Keswick. The double room we stayed in was spacious and the bed & pillows really comfy. The towels were bath sheets which is always preferable and the shower gel and conditioner smelt lovely. The breakfast was hearty and delicious with locally sourced produce, Greek yoghurt with fresh fruit and granola was yummy. I can’t praise Acorn House enough, we would happily return and recommend to others. Bonus they have a decent car park.

Keswick break in late November

Friendly staff and comfortable clean room with views of the hills in the distance. Breakfast was tasty and substantial. Acorn House is ideally situated being only a 5 minute walk from Keswick town centre.

Great location, lovely rooms and the most amazing breakfast. A first class place to stay.

Friendly welcome, warm house and room was nice after returning from a long walk. Our room had the most amazing shower. The breakfast was the star of the stay. Locally sourced, great choice and cheerful team left nothing wanted.

Only staying for one night, I wish we could have stayed longer.

Weekend away.

Location. Ideally located for Keswick and surrounding areas! Short walk into Keswick Town Square. Very quiet considering the approximation.. Ample parking which is a bonus, Janet and Chris allowed us to book in early which gave us basically all day to spend in Keswick. We really appreciated that gesture! Acorn House is traditional and very comfortable. Rooms are well kept and have everything one could possibly require. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. Checking in/ out is most pleasant and help is on hand with cases bags etc.. There is nothing that is too much trouble. Couldn't ask for any more!!

Clean, close but old fashioned

Good location, parking and the breakfast was lovely.

It was very old fashioned. The shower head wouldn’t stay up and kept moving across the shower. There was black mould under the soap tray. The chairs facing the bed were unsettling.

Really enjoyed it, would stay again if staying in Keswick. Staff and location were brilliant!

The location was great, only a short walk into the town centre which was fab. The bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever stayed in!

The only thing and it was only preferential to both of us but we weren’t keen on the sausages at breakfast but that’s something that’s individual, not a criticism of the hotel in any way at all. Other than that the breakfast was great and filling for the day.

Brilliant place to stay in Keswick

The bedroom was fantastic with a brilliant view of the countryside from the window. Everything in the room was great. The location of the accommodation was ideal. Very near the town centre and a pleasant and short walk to the lakeside, Would definitely stay there again.

Pleasant stay, good facilities, very comfy bed and lovely staff.

Lovely building, good facilities. Very comfortable bed indeed. Breakfast and staff were brilliant. On site Parking, great communication from Chris on what to do when checking in.

For us, unfortunately, we got bedrooms in the attic with quite a few narrow stairs to climb. This is no one’s fault as we didn’t know the layout of the building.

Very good breakfast, plenty of parking on the premises which is unusual in Keswick. Only a few minutes walk into the town centre. A short cut to the lake can be found at the side of the church.

Location of plugs make charging of phones and iPads difficult.
