Stunning property in a beautiful part of the West Coast.

The location was almost prefect. It was well located and offered good privacy all things considered. The staff and service were excellent and we really loved the property's furnishings and layout.

The bed was too soft for our liking. The view was good but we would have liked more of a view of the bay. The property could really do with air-conditioning.

Modern high quality studios next to the beach

The buildings are modern and the quality is high. The studios are spacious, the beds comfortable, the kitchen fully equiped and the furniture is well designed. We walked to cosy restaurants, the small harbour and along the beach

Lovely stay in Paternoster

This was our second time at La Baleine, first time staying in studio 5. The location is perfect- in a safe area in Paternoster, walking distance to the Waterfront for morning coffee or sundowners, and stunning ocean views! We loved our stay and the staff was exceptional and eagerly helped us with extras needed during our stay. Would definitely recommend as a perfect getaway spot for a couple!

A wonderful stay that exceeded all expectations – I’ll definitely be back and can recommend it to everyone.

The accommodation was outstanding – spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Everything was well thought out, and all the small details made the stay even better. The bed was super cozy, and the location was peaceful and relaxing. The staff were amazing – friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. A special thanks to Manager Ralph, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can really tell he loves what he does. Thank you, Ralph, for your kindness and hospitality!

Classy seaside bliss.

The hosts we're very friendly and proactive in addressing any questions or queries we had. The view of the beach was beautiful and even when the wind picked up, the unit was protected. The layout of the unit was thoughtful and calming, the lighting throughout was also great.

Perfect weekend getaway

Great views of the ocean from the house. Beach was about 100m away and also very close to the Paternoster Waterfront. They provide a nespresso machine , all other equipment's looks new , the house was extremely clean. Love the bathroom with his and hers sink, and a huge shower. Very good wifi signal. The bed and pillows were perfect. Super friendly staff.

It was a bit cold in the room in September, they should have provided heated blankets other than that no other issues.

Excellent experience overall and very pleasant stay

The host went our of the way to accommodate us and ensure we were comfortable; we had a special request that was met and basically exceeded expectations .

There were renovations at a cottage near by but that did not interfere much with our stay

Beautiful location and outstanding views

The beach views and location were terrific, the wifi was a good speed and clearly little expense spared on furnishings, kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable. The host was very welcoming and explained everything well.

The property could benefit from a tap on the patio or some doormats to help keep clean when coming back from the beach. The guest book would ideally have some information on how to operate the appliances especially the oven and stove. The list of breakage liabilities in the guest book could be kept somewhere else. Given this property is pricier than comparable properties in Paternoster, more thoughtful touches, such as books and boardgames, wood on site, rusks and milk, optional daily servicing, could up the value for money rating. Other travellers should note that there is a bar in hearing distance of the property and it's in the busier part of the village.

A breath of fresh air!

The property is very conveniently located next to the Waterfront and just a few steps away from several of the best restaurants in Paternoster and many of the activities that are on offer. The unit was comfortable and newly renovated with all that you need to enjoy a convenient stay. Beautiful, serene views!

Clean place and friendly host. Near sea. Overall nice place

Neighbours kept us up till 12 at night talking load and playing music. Could hear every word that they spoke inside our bedroom. Bedroom too near at neighbours house. Had to ask neighbours twice to be quite but it did not help. Every night the same thing. They do not care for other people. The owner of La Baleine should make the outside bedroom door sound proof.

Finding La Baleine for our stay. Friendliest host Moses. We stayed at one of the Studios. Very Cosy. Studio is well equipped with all necessities. Close proximity to the beach and the Paternoster Waterfont. Outdoor braai area as well as weber provided(yay!). UPS for the win! We had wifi throughout loadshedding. Security patrol during the night.
