Paradise in Poschiavo

The food was amazing. Everything was fresh, organic and locally produced... even the herbal teas at breakfast..and the yoghurt, bread from two local bakeries, cheese, butter, fruit, jams and eggs. Dinner likewise, including locally sourced wild game, fungi and chestnuts. The staff from chef, through waiting staff and chambermaids were highly competent, professional, friendly and multilingual. The nicest room I've ever stayed in, large, warm and with a great view, a big luxury bath and his and hers washbasins. The setting at the foot of Val Poschiavo with Lago di Poschiavo to one side and the railway station, to the other is just perfect.(It's more like a tram stop in the street and ten paces takes you to the hotel door. There's also the fantastic Poschiavo Plus scheme giving free unlimited travel by bus and train throughout Val Poschiavo from the snows at the top of the pass to Tirano in Italy, if you stay two or more nights in participating accommodation. (Yes - that is the UNESCO world heritage Bernina Express route)

Switzerland seems very expensive to British people, but that is not a criticism of the hotel. The set four course menu offered a wonderful salad buffet course but it wasn't available with the a la carte offering.

Pleasant Stay at Lovely Lakeside Hotel

Beautiful location by Lago Poschiavo and buses & trains conveniently stop right outside Hotel Romantica. Single Room was spacious & well-equipped with functional design. Generous breakfast buffet with lots of choices. Dined at Hotel Restaurant 3 nights in a row and enjoyed every single meal. Food was well prepared with fresh local ingredients, simply delicious - Compliments to the Chef! 😋 Exemplary Service & Warm Hospitality from Mrs Lardi. Well taken care of by the team from the moment I arrived till my departure. Mrs Lardi really went above & beyond to provide me with a comfortable, pleasant stay - Thank You! 🥰

Wash basin initially drained water very slowly but got better on 2nd day. Too many flies at Restaurant which slightly marred enjoyment of meals - reckon even the flies can't resist the scrumptious food. 😉

Lovely hotel in lovely Puschlav

Friendly, attentive staff, amazing location right beside train stop of the Rhätische Bahn, close to the lovely lake, wonderful shady garden behind the hotel away from the road. Good, pleasantly presented food. They cater for gluten free diet upon request.

It was a beautiful hotel with gorgeous rooms with a view right on the lake was beautiful. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was some of the best food we have ever had! We will definitely be back to visit here again.

Perfect location next to the train/bus station. Spacious room and comfortable bed. The people working at the hotel restaurant are delightful, and the restaurant has a bright and lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay after disembarking from the Bernina Express.

I had booked a single room with lake view and they gave me a one-bedroom suite with bunk beds in the living room (with a view of the train station), not sure how this happened... by the time I realized there was a mixup, it was already quite late so I did not ask to change rooms.

The breakfast selection was great. We enjoyed sitting outside with a cool beer. The dinner options were expensive so we choose to eat elsewhere. Would be good to have a cheaper option within the hotel.

Das Frühstück war reichlich und gesund. Ich kannte Le Prese bereits von früher. War vor 18 Jahren mal da. Mir gefällt der abgelegene Ort und die wunderbare Landschaft. Das Hotel gefällt mir gut. Man hat einen schönen Blick auf den See.

Ich fand die Preise für das Essen überteuert. Beziehungsweise war ich mit dem Nachtessen am letzten Abend nicht zufrieden. Noch halbrohe Kartoffeln und nicht gegartes Gemüse

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, gemütliche Lokalität, sehr schönes Zimmer und super feines Frühstück sowie Nachtessen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Dieses Hotel werden wir für eine Unterkunft oder auch nur zum Essen in der Region gerne wieder berücksichtigen, es hat uns sehr gut gefallen 👍🏻.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen. Man kann direkt vor dem Haus in den Zug steigen. Trotzdem ist es ruhig gelegen, der Garten ist wunderschön. Das Essen ist auch sehr gut, der Chef und sein Team kochen wirklich sehr gut! Das Personal ist Spitze, man fühlt sich sofort sehr wohl.

Oaza spokoju w cudownym miejscu, obok peronu ekspresu Bernina.

Nigdy wcześniej nie spałem w hotelu tak blisko dworca kolejowego :) - praktycznie na peronie ekspresu Bernina. Widok na cudne jezioro Poschiavo. Pokój czysty i przyjemny, łazienka funkcjonalna. Bardzo dobre śniadania (w cenie) i kolacje (płatne dodatkowo - 52CHF). Restauracja w ogrodzie. Świetne było to, że mogliśmy korzystać z pociągów i autobusów między Ospizio Bernina a Tirano w cenie hotelu, darmowy był też wstęp do muzeów, rejs statkiem, minigolf (nie skorzystaliśmy) i rowery (też się nie udało). personel bardzo miły, komunikatywny.

Pokój nieco zbyt mały, szkoda, że nie było w nim mini lodówki. Ceny dla nas wydawały się wysokie, ale wiemy, że Szwajcaria nie jest tania. :( Można by trochę rozszerzyć menu na śniadaniu (dodać kiełbaski, warzywa).

Sehr gutes Frühstück, viele hausgemachte Angebote bzw. viel Regionales... netter Service, Frühstück innen wie aussen (Garten) möglich. Bus/Zug vor der Haustüre top (nachts absolut ruhig!)

Über booking Seesicht gebucht, dieser war so gut wie nicht zu sehen (auf Rechnung steht Seeseite, was korrekt ist). Nach Anfrage beim Check-in wurde eine Alternative angeboten. Zimmer mit Balkon ok, aber sehr "ungemütlich", da 100 % Sicht zu den anderen Balkonen, zudem hässliche Betontroge mit "ein paar Sträuchern", schade, könnte man verbessern! Enorm kleines Zimmer und Bad, Ausstattung jedoch ok, da gibt es nichts zu reklamieren.
