Not coming back.

The rooms were nice enough, and the staff while pleasant, seemed to lack proper training in hotel accomodation, but see our overall comments below. Considering the very limited restaurant capacity on site, we walked maybe a couple hundred metres down the road and found an excellent restaurant at Toteme Glamping.

Basic food options provided by the kitchen were not very good. Example: coffee served at breakfast for all 4 of us was undrinkable. Outdoor dining area was very prone to flies. The one indoor eating area was spartan - hot, with flies and no furnishings other than the tables and chairs . We had booked for 2 nights but checked out after 1 night.

The views are beautiful to the mountain. The room with the garden view was quite small (in pics the rooms seems more spacious). The staff was friendly and helpful.

Great hotel, amazing hot spring

This hotel has exceeded all of our expectations. The room was nice and clean , but the unexpected gem was the private hot spring. When I was booking the hotel, I thought that it was just a pool, but it’s so much better, since it can be a little chilly in this area. After a long way by bike under rain the hot spring was exactly what we needed! Also the hotel restaurant has very good prices and the food was really good! And it’s very convenient to order from WhatsApp and they text you when the food is ready. The staff is nice and helpful and the view from the second floor where you can have breakfast is amazing.

I think breakfast can be improved (it was too much salt for me in the fried egg and my bf omelette was so so), the dinner was so much better (I had fried fish and my bf had chicken with rice, both really good)

A truly relaxing mountain escape with breathtaking views and warm hospitality

We couldn’t be happier with our choice of Batur Guesthouse as a place to spend quality time with friends and family and to detox from the bustling city life. It was also a wonderful opportunity to experience a different side of Bali in the mountainside. Batur Guesthouse is truly a hidden gem with a stunning view of Lake Batur. The hot springs are amazing and incredibly relaxing after a hike around Mount Batur. Our room was comfortable, and Pak Made was very accommodating to our needs — arranging activities like trekking and a Jeep tour, as well as transportation for us. He even took us to other great places and restaurants in Bali. Restaurants and a mini market are conveniently accessible within a 10-minute walk.

The road leading to the accommodation is a bit tricky and can be very dark at night, so it may be challenging to navigate without proper lighting.

Batur Volcano Guest House (more a resort than a guesthouse!) I recently stayed at Batur Volcano Guest House and was pleasantly surprised — it truly feels more like a resort. The property offers an outstanding view over the volcano area, and the staff were genuinely caring throughout my stay. My room in the middle category (with pool view) was excellent: spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. The resort also offers an entry-level room without a view for a lower rate, and a top category with a private pool for those wanting something extra. A few amenities could be improved, but overall the resort delivered a very good experience. The road up is a bit bumpy, but easily manageable by car, and there are plenty of parking spaces. Breakfast, which is included in the rate, was decent and absolutely fine to start the day. A great stay and definitely a place I would return to when visiting the Batur area again.

Quiet Batur Volcano guesthouse

We really enjoyed staying at the Batur Volcano guesthouse. They organised the Batur Volcano hike with guide to see the sunrise, and we able to walk from the guesthouse to the volcano! Super easy. The staff was very nice and helpful. Good breakfast, clean and very comfortable room. The hot spring pool with the view is amazing!

Lovely hot springs pool and hike starts from hotel

Loved the hot springs pool and that the hike starts from hotel. We had Eddie as our guide and he was phenomenal - took awesome pics, knew all the tips and tricks and didn't rush us.

No air conditioning or flyscreens on windows. Flys are really bad in this area. The upstairs eating area still had holes/gaps for flies and bugs to get in. Needed floor towels due to way room was laid out. There is no exhaust fan in toilet.

A nice setup in a stunning location. Just needs a bit more management focus

Stunning location, good sized comfortable room, friendly staff. Pool fed by natural hot springs with views to lake, mountains and volcano. Very quiet setting being a couple of hundred meters from the main road. ( some construction noise: they are building some additional units each with private pools but should be completed in a month) We stayed in one of the 3 or 4 units on the upper level near the hot pool, no noise there.

We had to mention that no one had cleaned under the bed for what looked like weeks. They quickly addressed this. The area is plagued with flies during the day. The staff didn’t mention there is an indoors dining area which would have dealt with the fly problem while having breakfast/dinner. I mentioned to the owner that he needs to spend more time on staff training and supervision. He appeared to take this on board but obviously distracted by overseeing the construction.

Nice views, the guesthouses look’s cute and they still expanding. I hope they will layout the road to the property from the main road after they finish the works, I felt so sorry for our driver and his car.

A very nice, relaxing stay at the foot of Mt Batur

This was our third stay at Batur Volcano Guesthouse, and we will return again! Staff are very welcoming and accommodating, the rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. We organized our trekking directly at the guesthouse. A lovely location on the foot of the volcano with nice views, and a 10 minute walk into town. The natural hot spring is very welcoming after a long hike. Very suitable for solo or couple travellers

Great starting Point for Mt. Batur

Bungalow/ rooms close to reception/ pool are quite spacious and have a great view into the Garden/ the pool. They are building 4 new once, they look smaller to me plus the view will be onto the parking lot. The 3 guys working there day and night try to do the best to help you and fulfill wishes. Good to have the covered eating area, great view into the lake and Mountains plus helps against the flies

- Breakfast selection is very limited, 2-3 Types of jam and Butter for the toast plus maybe a Fruit Bowl could help on that. Liked the coffee and the Fruit smoothies - Better to close the gap between the door to the bungalow and the floor with flexible material- insects and spiders are coming in what is not everybodies taste - shower Walls and ground plus appliances need to be cleaned more intensiv using appropriate cleaning chemicals, I know its hard with all the Minerals in the water coming from the vulcano but its really not looking good No room Service during my stay - but ok for me - would be great, if owner could offer more Tours for nature enthusiast to explore the area, enough for a second or Even third day- pays off on his bookings - owner should keep all his Staff and coworkers happy, they do a good Job and they deserve a good life and a reasonable payment too

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Limited food menu but it was tasty. Organised a morning hike for us with local guide eddy who was fantastic. Spring lovely and warm. Natural hot spring was lovely. Would definitely recommend. WiFi worked fine during our stay, couple patchy times but overall we had no issue.

Amazing accommodations, views and service. Picked this location to be closer to the sunrise hike and it was beyond my expectations. The staff was amazing and so very accommodating. The pool was heated and prefect after a long day of hiking!

Ideal for Mt. Batur/Great staff

Perfect location for climbing Mt. Batur. Hot springs fed pool was pristine and with a lovely view. Loved how staff arranged guide for hiking the volcano which can be done onsite the night before. This was the highlight of our trip to Bali. Seemed like other trekkers just went up and back but we were offered options for longer loops circling the crater. We chose the middle option and highly recommend.

This was not a problem for us, but the guesthouse is nestled between the base of the volcano and local farms. Because if this we did experience some roosters crowing, flies, and dogs barking. Despite this, was one of our favorite experiences in Bali. Two nights was perfect.

horrible!

just the room was fine - there was not hot water.

hot water the breakfast was the one that really killed it! They did not provide or even offer tissue napkins for the breakfast. FLIES!! horrible. I understand nature but the problem is that the service team did not even offer a candle or a small fan to get rid of them. I would never stay in this place anymore or recommend it. Thanks

Love love love everything about this property! New facility, clean, attentive, kind staff and we had a pleasure to meet the owner! That did everything for us to feel home. From arrival to leaving!Breakfast was so good, and the natural springs pool very clean and warm. Recommended a great private tour for Batur that u can start directly from the property! Peaceful retreat at Batur

The guesthouse is beautiful and clean. Loved the hot pool and it's drained and refilled every morning. Very hot water for showers and water pressure is great. Menu is simple but sufficient choice. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Well done.

Beautiful stay in the nature with amazing hosts

The nature surrounding the guesthouse was amazing we saw different types of birds, squirls... We caught many beautifull sunsets. The hot spring pool, although is a small one has very hot water which can be enjoyed even in the evening. Room was spacious and well equipped, had soap, shampoo, towels, hairdryer. The hosts were very kind and helpfull. They arranged for us for mount Batur sunrise hike the most amazing guide Edy. The guesthouse is very close to starting point of the mount Batur hike so we saved some time in the morning ;) Lastly they organized for us drop off to our next destination.

The flyes in the garden are annoying. But it is understandable they exist because people are using organic fertilizer in all the fields in Kintamani / mount Batur area. All villa's and even the hot springs (like Toya Devasya) have the same challenge. Limited options of places to eat in the area (only 2). The guesthouse offers a limited menu but both the food and drinks are very well priced (we highly recommend eating one night at the guesthouse).

Superb

Minutes away from the Mt Batur route. Guests may choose to arrange a sunrise hike with the guesthouse. Room was very clean and comfortable. Guests can refill drinking water and hot water from the dispenser at the reception. The hotspring pool is small but good for chilling out and mingling with other guests. Property is set in a tranquil environment with farms surrounding it and mountain views.

Due to the proximity to the farms, there would be flies in the daytime hovering around when dining.
