Wonderful stay. I’d definitely love to come again

The room I had was with doors and wall completely glass so uncomfortable getting undressed in full view of outside. Either get sunlight and exposed or close everything in dark and use the lights to stay private

Beautiful setting in the jungle overlooking a valley and close to Sekumpul waterfalls. Lovely pool and villas

A fridge in the room would have been nice.

Nice new villa just under the volcano - great basecamp for early morning summit. There is a nice hot spring place just 10 minutes down in the village called BNHS. The private hot spring in the villa was great for warming up during the cold weather. The staff was very friendly. The property offers hiking packages to Mount Batur - short, medium and long - short one was 300k per person, middle one was 400k per person, and I do not remember the long one.

While it is technically a private villa with a private hot spring, you are facing a car park and reception, which are slightly raised compared to your villa, meaning no privacy since you can just stand at the reception and stare inside. The eating place was filled with dead insects. While I do not hold this against the property since it is not their fault, there is a huge problem with flies in the area during the days during the rainy season. This means you can't eat outside or just sit in a hot spring because there will be literally 30 flies flying around you. Also, the advertised hot spring is technically there and great by itself, but you need to always ask the staff to empty it and fill it again with hot water - you are not allowed to do it by yourself. During the cold weather, when the water is ready, you have maybe 30 minutes to enjoy it before it gets cold and needs to be replaced, thus a need to call the staff again.
