I had almost zero expectations. We mainly booked it for few hours, because we had to wake up early for the mountain trek. But this place and the staff exceeded way way way more our expecations. All are very kind and friendly.

The property is located at the foot of Mt Batur and was a short walk to get to the hiking trail. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and the owner even drove us to a warung for dinner and to the hot springs after our hike. Beautiful gardens to relax in.

The only challenge is that there are many flies in the area, due to it being a farming area.

It’s really good place to hike Batur. Wayan was very kind. She rode me to the restaurant for take-out dinner, and introduced us Nokia for hiking, and it was great. You can see stars very clearly in the hotel, which is unforgettable.

It was difficult to get Gojek or Grab to leave there, so that we used local taxi which is way expansive than Gojek.

Snails and flies, that's how you could describe this overnight stay. The bathroom was filled with snails, and there was no protection against them. There was no flyscreen, and there was no air conditioning, so it was unbearable to stay there without opening the door because there was no window. Without your own transport, do not stay there overnight; it's a long way to the shop selling sweets and drinks. Down by the lake, there's a price collusion, and the Grab and Gojek apps don't work. The ride up to the top costs 250,000-400,000 for a 5-kilometer ride. The owners are friendly as long as they can make money. In the evening, we were told the price so we wouldn't have to look for a driver any further, but in the morning, the ride was higher. We were also told with a smile that the apps didn't work here. After using the ride at the triple price, the lady waited for us and again, smiling, informed us that it would be difficult to find a driver, but she could take us further. You can't leave the house without asking where you're going. They're constantly pushing attractions or restaurant recommendations. The WiFi constantly didn't work, and a page appeared asking if you needed to buy more GB. I had to pay attention to it every day because the problem persisted.
