Quiet one night stay and enjoyed some good cooler air

Away from the hustle and bustle. Wonderful views of the mountains and lakes Closer to the sunset jeep ride route but the best was our personal hot spring tub in front of our villa. Staff were kind and assisted in changing my bookings … they always had a smile on their faces

Great views, hot spring pool, and amazing staff

We really enjoyed our stay at The Lava Bali Villa and Hot Spring. The in-house hot spring pool was wonderful, offering stunning views of the nearby mountains. It is a great place to relax at night while enjoying the natural hot water. Our room was simple - cosy, clean, and amazing value for money. What really sold us on the place, however, was the staff. Bagia, Ayu, and Aditya (driver recommended to us by the villa) were all so helpful and took excellent care of us. Bagia arranged a driver for us, and a sunrise Jeep adventure up Mt Batur. Thank you Bagia for all your efforts!

The environment of the area with its warm waters and fertile soil makes it very attractive to flies during the rainy season. Obviously, this is not the fault of the Lava Bali, but it should be noted for anyone looking to visit Kintamani. We chose Lava Bali for its proximity to trekking and the hot springs, but for others, it might seem far from the main Kintamani mountain hub. However, there are 3 or 4 different convenience stores right next to the accommodation, so it's not quite as remote as some other places we've stayed in Bali where you're reliant on the resort for everything.

The location is great, very clean and super natural sources pool. Good Indonesian breakfast and nice tips from local people for Warung ;)

We had some water filter nearby the cabin that was making loud noise every 5 mins so we almost did not sleep the night as we forgot the earplugs. Then we went to mount batur very sleep deprived.

Wonderful hot spring pools and excellent service

I had a villa with my own private hot spring pool. That was simply amazing. If in the daylight there are flies, then in the evening it was magical to sit in this warm pool look at the stars in the sky. A very sweet and helpful girl Ayu took care of all my needs. She organized a night-hike tour to mount Batur, arranged the driver to the next destination and drove me to the restaurant by motorcycle. I have very best memories of the villa and the excellent service by Ayu.

Too many flies in this area, but this is in all the hotels nearby.

Lovely rooms and lovely staff

The staff were fantastic. Very friendly and were always on hand to answer any questions. They arranged a private hike up Mount Batur for us which made it very easy and the guide Jack was also great.

Perfect location for the sunrise tours. Staff really friendly and helpful, arranged tour through them. Gardens were immaculately kept, room was clean and comfortable

As others have mentioned the shower wasn’t great but not really a problem. The jeeps do leave early so if you’re not on an early tour they can be quite noisy

Superb location with stunning views and local warungs. The rooms are spacious and elegant. A lava hot spring was the perfect way to end our day. Bagia was an outstanding host. Provided excellent local knowledge along with with personality and a great sense of humour.

Nice stay

The hot spring pool and private hot spa were definitely the highlight. It wasn’t crowded as there are few villas and we had the pool to ourselves a few times. The bed was comfortable and air conditioning was good. Really enjoyed the stay and you can see the mountains from the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is in walking distance to a few nice places to eat. It was nice to have breakfast included. Would definitely recommend.

The shower head in our bathroom dribbled out instead of spray, but had enough water to shower with and temperature was warm. Apart from that everything was good.

Overall it was a pleasant stay for our family vacation in Kintamani area. Highly recommended.

The hot spring pool facility is really good and we love it! It’s not crowded at all and easy to access anytime we’d like to. The location is near mini markets and a few good restaurants for dinner. Highly recommended for couple or family who travel in Kintamani area.

The parking area is a bit limited so it’s requiring maneuver if there are other cars parked nearby. The asian breakfast choice could be made better according to our personal tastes as Indonesian. 😊

The Lava Bali exceeds expectations, beautiful villas with a resort feel and warm staff!

The Lava Bali was perfect for our stay in Kintamani. It’s a gorgeous property with a resort feel!!! The Lava Bali provided a beautiful and comfortable villa steps away from the trailhead for the climb up Mount Batur, a private hot spring in front of our villa and a hot spring pool to relax in, yummy breakfast on site, nearby restaurants to walk to, and a friendly and warm top notch staff. Communication with Edy via WhatsApp was so easy and he arranged everything and anything you could want including a guide for Batur from the hotel, a driver to one of the sunset restaurants and a ride to our next destination! The onsite staff were fantastic and very focused on making sure your stay was perfect. Language was no problem. Shout out to Bagia for taking excellent care of us at the hotel and up on the volcano trail!!!! I highly recommend this property for your Kintamani stay!!!

Beautiful but disappointing.

The hot spring pool was fantastic, the bed was very comfy. Good to have a fridge in the room and free water each day.The grounds were well kept and the staff were attentive and helpful by booking a sunrise tour up the volcano.

This place is misrepresented on Booking.com. We chose it as it said breakfast was included and that there was a bar and restaurant onsite. None of this is true. Breakfast was only available if pre booked and for an additional cost. I don't know if it was good as we did not have any. There are 2 decent restaurants nearby and 3 supermarkets but that was not what we thought we were booking. Also the shower didn't drain away properly and the tv remote had a broken casing.

A perfect stay for Trekking to Mount Batur

It is a very small Hotel. The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. And the Hotspring Pool was soo good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Ayu was amazing, she came with me to the sunrise Trekking to mount Batur. It was a very nice experience. She also organized me a Taxi for the next day.

Been coming to Bali for 50 years and spend 6 months of each year here and this rates poorly.

Hot pool was great. The bed and bedding was also very good. The staff tried hard to help. Nice views.

Bathroom has a major moisture problem that is unhealthy. Lots of flies in the general area. The area is very dirty due to the lava dust. Noisy trucks constantly taking lava products out of the area. Plus local kids on motorcycles were noisy. The standard of food is terrible compared to the rest of Bali.

Squeaky clean and well done villas! All amenities provided. Comfortable bed. They even decorated the room for us as it was our anniversary. Absolutely cute! The staff is very courteous, always smiling. The hot spring pool was very nice. Just what you need after a long and tiring flight. There’s a kitchen one can use or you can explore local restaurants which were at walking distance. Toya devasya is also at walking distance. So all in all a very good property. Would love to visit again.

Great!

We stayed at Lava Bali as we were going hiking to Mt Batur. It is a small property , perfect as it is close to the starting point of the hike. The hot springs are great to come back after the hike.

The shower didn’t work that well , overall though the bathroom was v clean , spacious and good.

Great location for a tour to Mount Batur

The hotel itself is very nice. The pool(s) were very warm and the room was clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. In our room you could hear some voices of other guests in the pool and the traffic from the main street, but we had no problem to sleep. I assume that you would have the same problem in all other hotels in this area. As Kintamani has a lot of farms, there can be many flies. However, this was not a problem at the hotel. Our highlight was our private sunrise tour to Mount Batur organised by the staff. We had the best guide of all times (thanks again!). You can start directly from the hotel at 3:30 am. (However, be prepared for many other people at the top of the mountain.)

Good concept, poorly executed and no service and bad location

Room was okay and hot tub worked, but all other problems made it irrelevant

Location in the middle of nowhere. Nearby area unpleasant, stray dogs, youth on motorbikes no light, no road. No food, no service, no delivery. Towels provided were full of stains. Flies flies everywhere, cannot enjoy anything, not hot tub, with flies ruining it. Noisy road and ugly supermarket signage spoiling views. Poor privacy, people were always passing by staring.

Pleasant pool but not much more.

According to Booking, breakfast should be available- no such luck. We were happy to pay, obviously, but staff was inattentive and not interested. That is until some Chinese guests arrived last night, had a massive argument with the manager (that woke me up) and were awarded with full breakfast next morning. We could only watch them with envy. No one emptied our bin in three days that we stayed nor made the room up. There are very few local warungs around and we often had to eat instant noodles from indomart. Toteme glamping few hundred metres away has ok food but chef can only cook one meal at the time so we waited for Brea for almost an hour.
