Beautiful accommodation in a great location, just in the center of the town, with good restaurants just outside and around the corner. The department has good amenities in perfect conditions. Perfect spot to arrive and walk the city.

The loft is connected to the main room and the stairs up to the loft were steep.

Breakfast could have been a bit better. Very basic

The room was recently renovated, the bed was comfy, and the water pressure was great.

The room had so many mosquitoes and the wifi was terrible. I have visited Matera a couple of times, and I understand that bugs exist. But for whatever reason, there were always so many mosquitoes in front of the door that every time I opened it they would get in. There was a plug in bug killer, but it was ineffective. As a result, I slept very poorly because I was regularly woken up by mosquitoes and itchy for my entire visit. The wifi was also ineffective. I've stayed in other cave homes in Matera that did not have such poor wifi. I had a Zoom call during my trip and was unable to attend it.
