I had booked the room through Booking.com. At the time I booked I had read through policies etc. In which I had saw no hidden fees. My card was billed for the amount. Upon check in we were informed of another deposit due that would be refunded in 3 to 5 days. the lady explained it was encase of damages. When asked why since I did not see it in the website used to book. She said it's in there. I said okay I will look at it again when I can. I then asked the hotel attendant if it could be paid with two cards, since I had gone over my amount for the day. She inquired and said I was unable to. I couldn't cancel the room and get a full refund due to having booked it the same day of stay as we were traveling home. Due to all this my card was already charged and over the limit I had no choice but to use my husband's card. Which caused another issue. due to bill payments etc. Once in the room I went back and still found nothing about a deposit in a place expected. I eventually did find it in an unrelated area. My issue with this is that it wasn't in plain sight where one would expect and it also was a completely different amount than the hotel attendant stated. The attendant also had an attitude with us after that. in which she did not hide as we were hauling our luggage to our room. I will not be staying with this hotel branch anymore.

It is new and clean. Breakfast was decent.
The pillows were miserable, and even though there were 4 on the bed, none were comfortable.
When I recently stayed at a Homewood Suites, I loved the pillows so much I tried to buy them online.

Front desk staff friendly. I haven't traveled since before covid; I didn't know I had to have security deposit. Did not have $150 dollars, front desk allowed $50 deposit
Had to turn heat up to 77 to get the room warm. I'm not a coffee drinker, no tea bags in room. Room I had was not the room I saw on line. My room had no bath, no bath chair. I have arthritis can't stand long.

Overall, my day was good. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great with a good selection. The mattresses were comfortable.
The only complaint I had were the pillows. They were terrible. I went out a bought a new pillow after the first night.

The bed was extremely hard. Only 3 lamps, and one had no lightbulb. Both clocks were wrong. Tv was hard to use because of the remote.
I thought it was strange that housekeepers would not come every day.

I really liked it was clean, the room itself and general area. The bed was comfy, it was warm and cozy. Breakfast was above average I would say for this price, very nice waffles, fruit, bread, etc. The staff was really nice and kind.

The paper products in breakfast area said “recyclable” which I complimented…then… found out when asked, “we do not recycle them, no separation area set up”
This was a disappointment to me who is huge on recycling!!! Please review this issue!!

Clean room
Had booked months in advance and paid only to get here after a very long day to be told that we didn’t have a room. The front desk clerk tried everything and called the manager several times. The manager didn’t answer or call him back, so he finally just gave us a room without checking us in. He went above and beyond.

It was clean and modern
The woman working the front desk the evening of September 27th was the most unprofessional front desk worker I have ever seen. I was standing in line waiting to check in and witnessed her be completely dismissive to other guests and rude. Then she had an airpod in and must have been listening to music because she would just start dancing out of nowhere. It was as if she could not be bothered to do her job.

I live the security with the key cards and the towel hooks everywhere.
They made me pay 150 per room for incidental I had 2 rooms. That was an extra $300.!! Then they said I might have to wait 3-5 days to get that back. I have booked a lot of rooms and never paid that. Sorry to say I won’t stay again.

2. A minimum of two chairs in King room or queen rooms is necessary. Only one chair means, no enough seat even for couples.

I’ll be happy to receive the credit for the extra $150 (not sure on that amount as no paper) that i won’t get for 5/7 days or something. That just didn’t make sense or be necessary.

Property was clean. I liked the option to check in and check out digitally. Toiletries were good in the room. Fitness center was great and breakfast was good.
The digital key doesn’t work for one of the elevators and we weren’t informed, so I ended up stuck until the front desk person got off the phone. Hot water didn’t last through a 5 minute shower. Bed was absurdly firm and neither of us slept much.

I received a call on the 3rd of April stating my card was declined. The clerk said the last 4 numbers of the card declined, but they were not the same as the card I used to book the room and paid for because the funds were taken from my account a month in advance. I called back as I didn't want to lose my reservation, it spring break, so I may be staying somewhere not desirable or driving longer from Tennessee to get home to Michigan. I called and paid. Of course, I was double charged. When I went to address the issue, I heard them discussing another payee having said issues. Appears this could be a scam, a computer issue, or a lack of communication with booking.com and Hampton inn. Something seemed off. I'm glad I checked my bank account and was reimbursed. I'm glad a manager was onsite as well. Question is, do I trust booking.com or Hampton Inn moving forward.
They need more chairs in the rooms!
