Though little in the way of period features, my room was large, clean and comfortable, A good shower (but no bathtub). Fantastically comfortable bed. The location was ideal. I was very happy with the hotel and would return.

The hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of the town and very convenient.
Our room was the smallest and probably the worst that we have stayed in.... ever! Indeed, despite the warnings of it being small it is not actually big enough to be even a single room. The bed barely fits in the room and other than what appears to be a small canteen like table and one bedside cabinet there is no other furniture. The room was clean but the cabinet contained old crumbs in one of the drawers. Further, the window was broken and would not close, or open, properly. The bathroom door handle was also broken off the door. The bathroom door could also not be left open and swung into the shower.
We mentioned all of the above to the staff who feigned interest but no more.
The staff also swore far too much and too loud when talking amongst themselves; there should actually be none, in the presence of guests.
As a result of the above, we will not be staying at the Feathers again and likely not at any other Crest hotel.
