We had both breakfast & dinner in the hotel and both were excellent. The staff were very friendly and provided an great service. The room was a good size with a great bathroom and fantastic shower The bed was enormous and comfy. The Hotel was in the centre of town so great for shopping.
I am trying to thin of something we didn't like but every thing was great

2nd time visiting here and we love the hotel it's right in the heart of Ludlow and very convenient for all amenities
3 couples stayed and When we arrived we all met for a drink and both rooms at the front the hotel were empty but every table was not cleaned so had to do this ourselves- it wasn't busy either so would expect staff to clear tables

Very pleasant experience, exceeding our expectations. A good mixture of old charm and modern conveniences. Very helpful and friendly staff. Enjoyed the fruit platter in the room on arrival, a very nice surprise. Breakfast was very good. The restaurant had a nice ambiance.
Parking was a bit tight - needed a 53-point turn to get out!

The outside appearance of the hotel is fantastic and the old stained glass and original features are great.
The hotel is very tired and the breakfast was disappointing. The room was comfortable but the wardrobe was scruffy and noisy to open it.
At breakfast the pots that the fruit were served in were all chipped and had a big crack down one side. The poached egg was raw inside.

Old building, location, staff, log fire. Room was great, spacious, comfortable and clean.
Breakfast selection was poor. Basic continental selection.

It was a lovely historical building full of character and close to the town centre.
The restaurant food was very poor.

Breakfast was good, but not quite ready (we were not asked if we wanted tea or coffee, and there were no bowls set out for fruit and cereal). Food generally good. Parking was good for a town centre location. Nice fire in the lounge area. Staff seemed happy and mainly attentive.
Staff service was variable - one girl was very good but one young man could do with some more training (this was pointed out to the man at reception on checkout). We did not tell the hotel that one of us was gluten-sensitive, as we expected that there would be some gluten-free bread available from their freezer. However, our waiter told us there was none (although at reception on checkout we were told that it was available (too late!)). The interior of the hotel is a bit like a mid-market pub and does not have the up-market feel that the exterior conveys. One of our meals at dinner had to be sent back as it arrived different from the advertised menu. During breakfast a large amount of water started pouring through the ceiling not far from us - the hotel has a serious and unresolved issue with apparent bathroom leakage from upstairs.

Location only
Smallest room ever stayed in very noisy from outside, very old and shabby use hotels frequently will definitely not use this chain again and will advise staff and friends accordingly

N/A Cafe bar around the corner was much better
the staff 's attitude to customer service, it didn't exist, the dirty secondary double glazing, dusty light fittings, stained bathroom ceilingI won't say anymore except steer clear, the frontage and stained glass are fabulous but thats it.

Beautiful historic building right in the centre of town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room and a very comfy bed. And great that the hotel was dog friendly allowing us to holiday with our pooch.
The breakfast was disappointing and cost a lot for what it was.

Excellently positioned in Ludlow. Nice friendly atmosphere. Good room and facilities.
Food was a bit disappointing, part of my evening meal was served cold and I had to send it back. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as eggs were hard and the black pudding extremely overcooked. I'm guessing as we were eating towards the end of service it had been cooked a lot earlier and allowed to go dry, Egg looked a bit batch cooked and was rubbery.

Lovely quaint facility, sympathetically decorated to keep old world charm whilst offering modern facilities. Nice selection of tea/coffe and water in the room. Brilliant staff - chaeck in , check out, bar area.
Car parking was a lottery - i got lucky and grabbed the last slot, but I appreciate you do the best you can with the small space you have. Perhaps offer discounted/free parking at the nearby large car park as overflow?

Location was good. Room was warm and mainly quiet. Hot water .
Parking very limited and charged for. For a deluxe room it was overpriced. Furniture and walls scuffed.
Door frame needed attention. Felt the whole place needed money spending and bringing back to its former glory.
Breakfast was poor. Cooked to order but felt it had been waiting in the kitchen for a while. Only one waitress on duty who was doing her best.
Didn’t see any obvious management on duty, which is what was needed.
On the second night there was a lot of noise and loud music from the pub opposite until after midnight.
Staff very obliging

A characterful hotel in a great central position. Ludlow is friendly and interesting ...kept revealing new facets .. such wonderful variety in a small space.
We enjoyed a dinner at the Feathers too which was very nice.
Parking was a little problematic (very limited space) especially as we arrived in the dark during a rainy night.

Amazing building in central location for town. Staff friendly and helpful. Room spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Loads of character
Car parking very limited. First come, first served. Hotel should offer valet parking option like many US city centre hotels.

bar closed early due to the northern soul night. not happy

Location was excellent
Rooms were quite small for two people so really only place to sit was on the bed.
I should have checked each room when we checked in & swapped with my elderly cousin & her partner as they had a long walk up & down steps to get from the lift to their room 216 (I think)

Location is excellent
Rooms were not very clean. How hard can it be to get a hotel room looking excellent. There is no excuse in this day and age. The restaurant was gloomy and the breakfast was very ordinary.

Restaurant service was not as good as it should have been.

Location was excellent. Bar area very welcoming. Restaurant good.
The problem with the lack of heating in our room was not resolved adequately. There should be maintenance personnel available at weekends.

It was clean, comfortable and a good location
Expensive and hard work to park and get your case to your room. Lots of ups and downs, even with the lift. Takes a while to try to pay the bill

Beautiful hotel in the centre of town! Hotel was warm, staff were polite, friendly and efficient! Breakfast buffet had plenty of options and warm breakfast hot and good quality!
Bedrooms were spacious and clean however I felt were not decorated appropriately to the age of the site, and bedrooms felt like a Premier Inn standard in an old facade!
Lovely communal spaces but some attention to detail when site is going through next redecoration!
Liked the property a lot, attention to detail with decor!

Breakfast was disappointing. The food had run out by 9.30am and we had to wait to order.
There was a large group visiting the hotel.

Breakfast during the week not so good.food not very warm.could be more like the weekend.

Rooms too hot. Not enough parking for all the guests. Staff preoccupied with a big wedding going on, so service for other guests slightly compromised.

Location.
Lovely building
Very nice staff
We felt that they charged for extras which should normally be included. ( early check in, charge for not booking a breakfast time! , steep charge for the parking)
We felt that it was churlish to not replenish the tea, sugar, biscuits in the room for the 2nd night.
We felt the food was expensive, the soup had to go back as it was cold, it reappeared warmer and the mushroom tagliatelle, whilst tasty, was so oily that I could not eat it.

Great location and beautiful building.
The smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in and that includes London and Paris.
Nobody to greet us in the breakfast room. Staff were very reactive. They didn’t notice the juice had run out or there was no bread. Ice cold plates for a warm breakfast buffet really doesn’t work.
6.0 / 10.0
Location was good. Room was also lovely and big and bathroom was lovely. Staff were lovely - Casey deserves a special mention for being amazing
Very overpriced for what it is. No replacement of minibar after second night. No lights in reception first night so dinner in the dark. No atmosphere in bar restaurant rooms (light a candle and put the radio on!). Paid £20 for dogs to stay.. nothing in room for them (unsure what we paid £20 for!). Towels not changed on second night, bathroom wasn’t cleaned and room not hoovered. For £700 for three nights we expected more.
