Very friendly and charming pub accommodation. San Miguel on tap foir the win too!

Basic facilities and a little dated but more than enough for what we needed.

Comfortable bedroom size and bed itself. Lovely staff who actually take time to sit and talk to you about the area and general chit chat. Home cooked food was also lovely and just what you need after a busy day.

The pub is lovely and welcoming and a beautiful building with an outdoor areas that catches the sun well. Breakfast was lovely, generous , well cooked and plenty of choice. The linen and towels were spotless and the view from the room was lovely. The bed was comfy although the bed base had seen better days. Location was excellent but expect an uphill walk into town. The greeting was friendly and warm throughout the stay. The landlady and landlord were lovely and I think it was a family run place with the son also greeting us warmly at the bar.

The room could benefit from a little updating. It’s an old property though. There are some fairly inexpensive improvements that would make the room more visually appealing on first impression. The tea tray was well equipped but we would have appreciated bottled water and glasses or plastic cups. Also toiletries would have been nice ( we only had soap). Others have mentioned leaving the room key at the bar when going out as a negative but this wasn’t an issue, the pub stayed open to receive guests back from their nights out. There is no parking so expect to pay to park and walk to and from.

The location is charming, adjacent to a historical gate. They had a locked storage area for our bicycles. Nice tables outside by the street, facing south, great for an afternoon beer.

The bathroom was not great and the electric shower kept turning off and having to be reset by the circuit breaker. There was no breakfast even though the place is a pub and restaurant. Value for money wasn't great, compared with other B&B at a similar price range. Maybe it just needs a little more love by the people running it.
