This stay was extremely disappointing and fell well below what is acceptable for a hotel at this price point. Staff were largely unhelpful and frequently nowhere to be seen. Service throughout the hotel was slow. The food was average at best and significantly overpriced for what amounted to basic pub-style meals. The spa facility was poorly managed. Booking is required, yet there is no way to book online and when attempting to book on the day for the next day, it was already fully booked. Multiple attempts to contact the hotel via phone, email, and messages prior were ignored, making the situation even more frustrating. The room itself was unacceptable. It was dated, dirty and damaged, and basic essential items such as towels and extra toilet paper were missing. I booked this as a relaxing spa weekend after a very demanding work week - it was anything but relaxing. This was especially disappointing given how attractive the hotel appears in photographs and considering the high cost of the stay, I just expected a much better experience. Overall, this hotel does not deliver the standard it advertises. I would not return and would not definitely recommend. Ps. The ladies who worked in the spa were super nice and squeezed us in for an hour.

Lovely property, the staff were very attentive and even upgraded us for free which was very kind. The restaurant food was delicious and great value for money. The spa was the most outstanding feature with beautiful views and a very peaceful atmosphere. I will definitely be back

Breakfast was poor, staff uninterested, property was tired and dated.

Lovely hotel with lots of potential. Staff could have been more welcoming. Hotel room was very cold so we had to ask a few times for blanket. The food was very mixed quality with some good meals eg breakfast was quite good but the evening meal left a lot to be desired.

Rooms were cold. Difficult to get a taxi. Food in evening was quite poor.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfy.

No one to check us in other than the lady working the bar, and she was rushed off her feet!! We waited 20 minutes just to be handed a key. When we did get to the room, there were no towels? We had to ask twice before they brought them. We paid for extras in the room, which were water, robes, and slippers, none of which were there. we even had to ask for milk. All of which was bad, but to then, be woke at 7am by other guest shouting and clearly having a row was just the icing on the cake. This was bought as a gift and has been a real disappointment.

visiting a friend in the area, and this was a perfect location, the bed and room was comfortable after a long journey. Breakfast was lovely as it overlooked a field.

Some tiles weren’t clean in the shower.

Our room was lovely, well decorated with a large bathroom. The hotel was clean and very smart.

Beautiful location for the hotel, in close proximity to town, short journey to centre.. Very spacious bar area and rooms for evening meal and breakfast. Lovely sized room and on suite bathroom.

Had to request coffee and normal tea bags as none in room on arrival, also no milk in fridge.. Cups provided were too small and mugs would have been better.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Hotel is in a peaceful location on the outskirts of Ludlow. Plenty of parking.

Staff need to be more visible, as more than once I had to search out staff to deal with my requirements. A small point but when ordering tea at breakfast, staff don't bring milk but rather point you in the direction of the breakfast buffet table in the next room. In an evening, they do, so why the variance? I'd expect milk to be provided at the table for drinks.

Comfy bed in spacious room. Clean bathroom, well equipped. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very helpful.

Extremely tired fixtures Despite requesting a twin room and late check in, and having it confirmed by the venue. The room was not ready. The bathroom was bitterly cold but clean

Excellent value for money. Lovely rooms and big beds. Very comfy. Good selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room and fresh milk (not uht). Fantastic breakfast- great quality and fast service.

The spa is small, well kept and peaceful. Lovely dinner, big portions. Brekkie was yummy. Great location in relation to the town. Staff were very friendly.

Main bedroom door let a lot of light in so had to use a towel.

Very welcoming staff and the room was very comfortable with lovely large, comfortable bed. Exceptionally large walk in shower which was lovely. Breakfast was served in lovely bright conservatory, plenty of choice and staff very friendly. World definitely recommend.

There were a lot of signs that the place was being rejuvenated. It was also lovely and quiet.

There was nothing really to dislike.

The spa closes at 17h. The reason given that it closes early because of children! The hotel is promoted as a boutique spa hotel. Not as a kiddie spa. Kids can go to a playground. If one cannot check in before 13h that leaves very little time to use the facilities. Also, the spa doesn’t open until 10h so it doesn’t give you time to use the spa and change before check out. I would have chosen a different hotel if I had known that. I don’t have time to read the small print so I don’t even know if it is mentioned. Change the description!
