We have enjoyed several stays at this hotel in the past, but clearly this time the hotel was having major staffing problems along with showing major signs of wear and tear. Our room though cozy had an easy chair that I sat in and needed to get my partner to pull me out as the springs are totally gone; the chairs in the dining room were in a similar state. We were with our friends so we were a group of eight people and had major problems with dinners in the dining room and sent food back several times. There were also issues with the person on the front desk as they were obviously inebriated with alcohol. The whole experience made me very sad as we’ve had such wonderful times there in the past; hopefully they can take this feedback and get the hotel back up to the level. It needs to be to be competitive with all of the hostelries in the area.

Lovely hotel, would stay again, the only gripe I had was that the service in the restaurant lacked attention, quite slow and no one checking how you were or if you needed more drinks etc.

The Hotel is set in such a peaceful position overlooking the harbour. You must try the Pizza from their own wood burning pizza oven, sit with a pint and a pizza enjoying the tranquil view. The staff are brilliant and the service superb.

Excellent hotel in an excellent position overlooking the harbour. Food was excellent especially the breakfast. Will definitely look to stay again. The only downside is parking if you arrive on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon as the hotel shares the local car park, it can get very busy so you may have problems parking when you arrive.

Beautiful location. Very dog friendly. We had a king size room overlooking the harbour. It was up a few flights of stairs but this was not an issue for us. Use of guest pantry which was a lovely touch. Very good breakfast menu. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

We love this hotel. It was our 4th visit in 4 years and it does not disappoint! The area around it is perfect for a slowed down weekend getaway full of fresh air good food and comfort. You can eat in other locations at the Weir or walk up to Porlock (bit of a long hill) or walk across to Bossington (6 mile round trip across the bay). However the pizzas on the Terrace are really great with a cider to watch the sun go down.

hello very nice stay lovely staff i think i would pick a front bedroom if we went back the main menu very good but no steaks not a lot of chicken choice service a one bed room clean but a bit small i have a little moan regarding dogs in hotel dont get me wrong i love dogs but i not in bedrooms were other s have to stay as dogs do give off some smells i think we would return

Lovely hotel in a great position. Hotel provided parking permit for general car park about 25 yards from hotel. Easy. We stayed for 2 nights completing 2 days at start of the South West Coastal Path. Easy bus routes to Minehead and Lynmouth. Then all you have to do is walk back.

This was our third time at the hotel, once at the old Millers and twice under the new ownership. It was simply fantastic, the hotel is beautiful and continues to grow and develop e.g. the new gardens at the rear. The rooms are comfortable and decorated with taste, but the secret to this hotels success are the staff, they are simply lovely. The food, evening and breakfast, is excellent, particular thanks to Linda and to Becky (birthday decorated sweet).

Loved our stay at Porlock weir Hotel. They looked after us and our dog very well. We had a Harbour view room which gave the most fantastic view of the sea and early morning surfers. The staff were attentive and the food was great.
