The 'cabins' are charming...until you realise the big wooden sliding doors have gaps in them, inviting mosquitos in constantly (on top of the ones already in there) meaning you need to constantly dispatch the flying hooligans all day every day. It's a lovely setting but the rooms/cabins need to be properly sealed with glass sliding doors fitted for this to be a comfortable stay. The highlight is the location and the lovely staff.

Great stay. Cool design and nice pool. Situated in forrest and Lake area with wooden boardwalks ( Where I Met a long green snake and a Lot og monitor lizards) right on klong dao Beach. nice staff. Breakfast ok but basic. Beware of mosquitoes there is a Lot of them.

Costa Lanta is amongst other resorts, but feels like you have your own place amongst the gardens, which are trees, a stream and flowers, with boardwalks making it easy to get around. Being a little back from the beach meant that we were sheltered from winds in this pre-monsoon season. It was very calm and relaxing, and the staff were very helpful but also respectful of privacy. We enjoyed walking into town, trying many different water-side restaurants, and seeing more of the area on boat trips and through hiring a car. The beach didnt have the surf recommended on surf websites, but a great back up turned out to be the resort pool, which was set amongst trees, a natural green color, with crystal clear water.

This hotels location was not only located closely to the beach, but to the local market area. Shops for buying great local and cultural items were more than a tourist could expect. Restaurants for cultural and western cuisine were easily accessible, and upheld welcoming staff and great dining experiences.

We got a bungalow. It had loads of mosquitoes in it. It’s open to the outside. There is a stagnant river that runs through the property that is a breeding ground for mosquitos. They spray the room at 5pm once a night that doesn’t do much to get rid of them. I got bit a lot and for this reason I would not recommend staying here.

pros: beach, pool, rooms cons: food was not so good, and the roof of the room was concrete but above that was plastic and when things fell off the tree from above, a coconut for example it is very very very loud . waking us up multiple times a night throughout our stay. i would still recommend this hotel

Hotel is very close to the beach on a nice beach stretch, very well maintained facilities with a beautiful garden. The downside of this place and why I did not like it, it was lacking personal touch and warmth. The rooms are individual rooms and I will call it a bunk think of it as camping with 4 walls rooms have no space to move lacking things like a tea kettle a bottle opener. I felt like I was in prison while in the room. Is a very modern design but it just did not work for me. Please be wary that this hotel only cares about making money.. you cant eat or drink anything by the pool that you dont purchase from them. And the staff kept asking where we were going to arrange taxis and get comission. Also the breakfast was ok.. nothing espectacular but you only get one option and again if you want anything additional you have to pay of course! In summary, nice clean hotel but did not feel like a vacation while I was in the room. However, there is not much time spent in the room and the beach and pool were very nice.

The staff was very kind and helpful, breakfasts were delicious and the beach was just amazing (long and not crowded). We fell in love with the place. The rooms and bathrooms were clean at all times and the mosquitoes net worked perfectly fine. There is a long pool and sunbeds available for guests. We would totally come back to this hotel. It is highly recommended.

We immediately fell in love with this place! Costa Lanta is a real paradise where to relax and unwind. The beach and the swimming pool areas are stunning, the cabanas are very sleek and modern. Excellent staff.

I had a very enjoyable stay at costa. The architecture of the place is the real interest here and Def slept like a baby. That being said don't expect anything in terms of amenities. No gym or tv. Also the safe is not big enough for a laptop and seeing as my sunglasses "diasspeared" from my room (or maybe I lost them elsewhere but I do remember putting them inside the room!) It would be advisable to leave things in the safe. Otherwise very good place to stay on Ko Lanta!

We had to change hotels after the first night as we didn't get any sleep. The air conditioning barely works & the breakfast which is included is very average. On the plus side, it's a romantic place to watch the sunset.

We stayed for 6 nights at Costa Lanta towards the end of October. Although out of season and despite a couple of maintenance jobs taking place, the staff and the facilities were fantastic and we did not feel as though up-keep interfered with our relaxation. The resort was blissful, the concept of the cabins enjoyable to stay in and the restaurant food delicious.Will certainly be returning.

We had a fantastic stay at Costa Lanta. Accommodation is very unique and to a very high standard - we loved our stay in the cabanas! Pool area and restaurant are also very nice. Staff were fantastic and so helpful throughout our entire stay. Beach is very nice and quiet too. The location is a bit away from the action which was perfect for us, but very easy to hire a scooter to get around to busier parts of island. Highly recommended!

The staff at Costa Lanta were delightful and professional at every moment, always willing to help us with our questions or attend to our needs. The room was simple yet innovative, and it was just what we needed, especially the beautiful mosquito cocoon that was built for us every night. We loved the location and the infinity pool was a real treat, just off from the beach, but more private than at the other resorts. We hardly eat in restaurants when in Thailand as we always prefer street food, but we indeed ate in the hotel restaurant by the water and the food was excellent. We also recommend their cocktail "Gin Gin" which was packed with ginger and fresh limes. I would absolutely stay at this resort again.

Loved loved loved Costa Lanta. The resort made our experience. So fun, classy and unique. Staff was great and friendly. They have an amazing pool, beach area, nice and secluded. Great for us on our honeymoon, would highly recommend to anyone, worth every penny to stay there.
