Calm and relaxing right on the beach with great food

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, and they also serve a really good pizza in the restaurant. A calm and relaxing hotel without too many people. Lovely pool right by the beach. In the bungalow, you live close to nature. We were very happy with our stay.

Great location but needs ALOT of TLC.

Location was great.

This probably was fantastic when it was first opened several years ago but really doesnt look like it has been maintained. It needs alot of TLC. We had to change rooms as the one we booked did feel 'coffin like' as mentioned in previous reviews. The new room was much nicer although all the wood in our bathroom needs to be replaced.

Very chic and excellent value. We spent a very happy week there.

The location by the beach is fantastic and I like the family-run feel. I also love the concrete Noughties architecture and the birdlife in the garden. Relaxed vibe but warm and attentive service.

Some of the soft furnishings, such as the pads on the sun loungers and the curtains in the rooms, could be updated. A couple of snacks added to the cocktail menu would be a nice touch.

The calmness, the shade, the threes, the concrete pods, everything was calm, clean, it smelled good, there were lots of birds, the sand was like flour, the water was super clear. if you have the chance to go to Koh Lanta the only resort I would recommend is Costa Lanta! We miss it already!!

nice concept but maybe not for everyone

location great, lovely ambience. feels very relaxed, and perfect beach for walking. easy to get to from ferry and to local bars/restaurants. amazing pool! very friendly staff.

lots of mosquitoes - need to be clearer when booking if getting an open cabana (no windows) or one with glass for some protection. nets in evenings ok but limited during the day if need to use the room. breakfast quite limited and didn’t cater for vegans (although I didn’t give advance notice so may have done if I had)

Quiet, clean, modern and highly recommended

Costa Lanta is a very relaxing hotel. I don't think I've ever been on holiday anywhere more peaceful than Costa Lanta. the architecture is unique. That alone is worth experiencing. The rooms are spacious, clean, bright and modern. both the owner and the staff are very cheerful and helpful. You stay in the middle of nature while also having access to a fantastic, large and calm beach. I couldn't get enough of the gorgeous sunset. Considering the peace and rest I have had, I absolutely recommend this hotel strongly.

Misleading advertisment, all the rest is fine

The staff was very friendly, always willing to help. Nice location, and bungalow design, cool pool, best beach so far in Thailand.

The Adult only advertisement was deceitful, it was the main reason i chose this and not twin lotus accomodation, but to find out that it's not true. I suggest you take this out from your advertisement, and judging by previous comments i see this is a recurring thing.

Third time and want to come back already

This was my third time at Costa Lanta, but my first time visiting during the low season. It will definitely not be my last either. My partner and I were the only ones staying in the resort, which was an incredibly serene experience. We were upgraded to the best room on the land, a few steps from the pool and beach. Although they were running a limited menu at the restaurant due to low season, the team went out of their way to buy us fresh fish from the market, or make us any classic dishes that we wanted. Every meal was delicious. The hotel itself is beautiful, it’s tastefully designed with brushed concrete in open jungle. There are a few very friendly dogs that live in the hotel that sat with us sometimes. The pool is to die for, it’s huge length and deep, with an elegant dark surface. The whole place oozes luxury. I could go on about the place, but you should just book and see for yourself. It’s amazing, but it’s the staff that make this place so special and memorable.

Most bars and restaurants on the beach were closed, which is to be expected in low season. There were still some great ones open, and the quietness of the place actually suited us. High season vs. low season are both great, but each is a totally different experience in terms of socialising, dining out and drinks. If you want a super relaxed and quiet time I actually recommend coming during low season, if you want beach bars and dining go in high season but expect it to be much busier.

The most memorable, special

i don’t think there are enough words in language to describe how i truly feel about this place, the staff, location, facilities, service and food/drinks. it’s very rare that I feel this way but I’m emotional to leave this place. it’s so unique, special, perfectly positioned close to the ferry peer and full of nature, laying back in the amazing pool and you see eagles flying among the trees. you then look over your shoulder and see the most amazing beach with a beautiful sunset. i didn’t catch all the teams names but what beautiful humans. Nee/Ni and Kasma are phenomenal hosts. breakfast is amazing too! try the Musli combo - it’s awesome! Nothing was too much trouble, I rented a scooter from the hotel no fuss or deposits and a very reasonable daily rate! a must for Koh Lanta as there’s so much beauty to see and the island is safe to ride on as the roads are fairly quiet. by far the best resort I’ve had the pleasure of staying in and I’ve been to a few! All staff are amazing at their roles including housekeeping and the garden team along with the more obvious food and drink team. please come here you’ll never regret it! James

Superb

Incredibly modern and stylish resort. We had the most comfortable sleep here of all of our Thailand trip. Also has a fantastic pool and high quality food and drinks (lovely ginger lemeade). The peace and serenity was a really nice change from our previous hotel which was more like a kindergarten (overrun with noisy/crying babies and children). The pictures on booking.com don't do this place justice, it's nicer in reality. They should hire a photographer.

The place has clearly seen better times. The internet didn't work and since we didn't have a Thai sim, that was quite a problem for us planning the rest of our trip. We later discovered that internet at the reception did work, but it's annoying to have to keep running to the reception for everything. It was also a bit disappointing that, even though we were the only guests (covid times), they didn't upgrade us to one of the empty chalets closer to the beach. It would have been no extra work.

The restaurant is good, but The maintenance has default

Problem with hot water in the room 2 times because bad maintenance. When I pay at the end of my stay, the staff wanted to make me pay the entire stay when I had already paid on the booking.com. The accounting is really poor and they do the invoices by hand not with a computer. After dispute, they reimbursed me the overpayment

Very cool and very peaceful

This was our idea of paradise! A cool, spacious resort with great food, chilled out pool, and right on a peaceful beach. There are a couple of beach bars/restaurants a few steps along the beach too with live music and fire shows in the evening, you can literally spend all your time in the sand if you want. It's worth noting though, if you book a bamboo bungalow then you really are sleeping in a traditional bungalow which involves a mattress on a raised platform and an open-air bathroom. However, it really isn't a problem. The staff spray mozzie spray and light incense in your bungalow every evening and ensure your net is down and tucked in - we didn't get bitten at all at night and slept very peacefully.

We stayed for 5 nights which is probably about as long as we wanted in a bamboo bungalow as the mattresses can be a bit hard. Really enjoyed the stay though :)

rapporto prezzo/qualità pessimo. inoltre aggiungo che una volta scoperto di avere camere senza finestre che non comparivano nè nelle foto nè nella descrizione, abbiamo dovuto pagare l'upgrading a camere con vetri ... e booking per 10 giorni non ha mai risposto alla mia richiesta di supporto, mai !

La playa es linda porque es amplia y hay poca gente, el mar es hermoso y muy calmo. La ubicación fue cómoda.

Een goed verblijf maar het huisje was een beetje behelpen.

Het ontbijt was prima en de locatie top het personeel heel vriendelijk en de eigenaren waren bereidwillig om iets voor ons te doen.

Het huisje was op zich leuk en uniek. De opstap om in het huisje te komen was te hoog zodat ik het bijzettafeltje maar als opstapje heb gebruikt. De bedden waren te laag voor oudere mensen zoals wij en de ruimte in het huisje klein voor al onze spullen De badkamer was daarentegen groot in verhouding met de kamer. Twee leuke buiten stoelen maar weer voor ouderen moeilijk uit te komen.

un très bon moment de repos et calme

Un très beau eco-lodge moderne. Des baingalow moderne en béton ciré et bois dans une forêt de pins. Directement au bord d’une magnifique plage de sable fin longue et très calme. la piscine juste devant l’océan est fantastique. le personnel est très gentil et aux petits soins. situé juste à 5mn de taxi du centre de la petite ville. possible d’y aller à pied. Il y a des petits resto thai sur la plage des 2 côtés. et un petit Bar de bikers à 5mn sur plage idéal pour admirer le coucher du soleil .

la petite rivière qui traverse les jardins pourrait être nettoyée. Le petit déjeuner en buffet serait mieux.
