A relaxing and peaceful sanctuary, surrounded by serene and lush greenery.
The location turned out further than I had anticipated. Being further away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud’s main streets had its plus points - it’s quieter and more peaceful, especially in the mornings. Love the fresh air and greenery that surrounds the villa, gives off a very serene feel. Love the pool - great to take a dip on hot afternoons, or just to relax after an exhausting day. Villa is also well kept and maintained. Wayan does a good job in keeping it clean. We can always be assured that we will return to a clean villa, rooms and beds well-made. Really grateful for that. He also makes good American breakfast. Kudos to him for being adaptable and quite accommodating when we requested a French toast meal one morning, instead of the usual.
Didn’t expect the villa to be located quite a distance away from the main street, so we didn’t anticipate the 4-5 minute walk to and from the villa, every time we go out and come back from our outings. While my daughter and I didn’t mind it that much, it was quite challenging for an elder member (who is in his 70s) in the group. The daily walk became tiring and cumbersome as the week wore on. The ongoing roadworks at the main pathway also made parking for our hired car, challenging at times. Using a buggy or golf cart to transport luggages or send/fetch guests up and down the path was also not feasible option, due to the uneven ground and ongoing roadworks. So, poor Wayan had to transport our luggages on top the pillion seat of his scooter, one at a time. With regards to breakfast, while we enjoyed the inclusion American Breakfast as part of the package, being served the same food everyday, for almost 7 days, became boring and unappetizing. Being Asians, we are used to having some variety and diversity in the choices for breakfast. Perhaps, you could consider offering some options such as a simple nasi or mee goreng meal with some Balinese kuihs or deserts (such as kuih lupis or klepons), on alternate days for long-staying guests (for eg, those staying 4 days and more.) These kuihs can be found at the local warungs (shops) in the early mornings. I believe, such additions will add an authentic and customised cultural experience for your guests.

Beautiful villa, large rooms and bathrooms and an amazing private pool with sitting area. Villa Indah is located in a lovely quiet location. Just a couple of minutes stroll to restaurants and cafe and about 10 minutes to supermarket.
Nothing at all to dislike!

Overall a great stay which could be exceptional with a few improvements.
The location was good. A short walk into the village to a western style cafe , close to the lovely Yellow Flower restaurant, walking distance to a Bintang supermarket for supplies. You could walk into downtown Ubud but the many stairs enroute could be challenging for some. The driver ,Kedek, who picked us up in Legian, was an absolute delight. He also took us on a day trip during our stay, he was a lot of fun. 👍
Whilst Wayan was a friendly young man, we did have several concerns regarding his level of housekeeping. It seems ,post Covid, that standards have slipped. Also, Wayan hung around too long after breakfast, which we found intrusive & he also had a maintenance man come in early on our last day, unannounced,to do repairs in one of the bathrooms, rather than wait for our departure.

Very happy with the stay. Easily accommodated 4 adults and 2 children for a week. Highly recommend!
Excellent accommodation and facilities - has everything you need for a week's stay. Every bedroom has an en suite bathroom; the showers, in particular, are fantastic. Pool is child friendly. Wayan turned up at 8am on time every morning to cook us breakfast and clean the place.
Pool got dirty towards the end of the stay. A little difficult to get to as it's away from the road but that's like most places in Ubud. Ceiling fan in bedroom number 2 would make an annoying clicking sound when turned up.

A beautiful place with a number of minor inconveniences
Breakfast and overall service from the staff was amazing. The villa is in a beautiful pristine quiet location in the jungle, yet not too far from cafes and civilisation. A world away from the mayhem that is Ubud in the tourist season. The villa is charming with an open air classic Balinese layout, loads of space and a pool with a gate for the kids (rare in Bali). We absolutely loved the village and the atmosphere!
The furniture was not comfortable at all, not in the lounge, and not the beds. The pillows were horrible and in general, a bigger investment in the furnishings would go a long way. The pool was dirty, and due to technical issues, they could not get the pool property cleaned. Its worth noting that the villa is not accessible by car, and the nearest road is about 7 minutes away on foot. As Gojek, Grab and Bluebird are not allowed in this part of Bali, it is very hard to find taxis, and the local transport cartel charges a lot to go anywhere. We generally hired a driver for the day to take us around, but if you just want to go to town for dinner, transport is an issue
