Lily lane is located within a quick grab ride to Ubud central and a lovely walkthrough a jungle path to cafes and restaurants
Our Villa with private pool was beautiful, the food was delicious and great value, and the staff were absolutely wonderful.
One of our rooms required access via some slippery external stairs which need improvement.

The pool setting and location being a little bit out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud was like an oasis.
The best Nasi Goreng and banana pancakes and restaurant onsite with food delivered to your Villa.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
The towels weren’t changed regularly however I am sure that if we asked they would have been.

Pool, the staff was very helpful and the bed was comfortable.
The bathroom was very dirty and mouldy. Even the breakfast, which was very basic, was to be provided we were expected to pay for the tea or coffee.

The staff was so welcoming and great! Feels like you’re in a a jungle!
Insects, but it’s normal, nothing serious. Just be comfortable with insects and animals. You won’t have them on your room but you’ll hear them.

Our hosts met us as we pulled up in our taxi, which they had arranged for us from the airport.
The only downside was the noise from the dogs barking very early in the morning. Obviously, this was out of Lily Lane’s control.

Loved breakfast in our room. Loved the wonderful staff and their warm smiles.

It’s located a bit outside of the center, which is nice. The space is quite big and you have a big fridge and kitchen. The staff is also really nice and try to help (they gave me a lamp to try to attract the mosquitoes in the room as they don’t have mosquitoes nets and couldn’t provide me with one). They also clean everyday
Overall it’s pretty old and not really maintained properly. The furniture is quite old and kind of moldy. It’s also an open bathroom and high sealing with openings in it, and so it was the worst place for the mosquitoes out of all the places I’ve stayed in (they don’t have mosquito nets). Overall because of that I couldn’t sleep properly.
The outside furniture and swimming pool are dirty and not inviting at all. In the end I preferred not to swim in it and risk getting something.
It’s not really a breakfast that they offer, just a pretty small bowl of fruit and a bad toast

beautiful private pool villa, very good value for money, nice bathroom area. Location not far from restaurants and shops a nice quieter village next to Ubud. Not in the thick of things but that’s what we wanted. Staff are all lovely.
Breakfast was ok, you have to pay extra for anything other than toast & jam & juice or fruit, could do with plates being cleared away quicker, we had our breakfast plates for over a day and did let them know.

The location is a little remote, but it is a hidden gem. Breakfast was tasty, staff was super friendly, and the private pool was excellent.
Instructions on how to order breakfast.

Breakfast was all we needed.
Lighting in the rooms was quite dim. But mostly, the cat vomit that arrived daily on the upstairs balcony was a bit yuck.

The staff are amazing and polite. The space is very comfortable and beautiful. The interior design and furniture were wonderful and made us feel in the local environment. We were in four and got two bedrooms/bathrooms villa with a private pool that made our stay more enjoyable to refresh the Bali hot nights anytime we wanted.
It's not a complaint, but the last stay night we got strong rain and storms. One of the rooms started to leak above the bed and both bathrooms were soaked. As Bali is rare to get rain like that, I believe it was hard for to them know if there is some leak point. However, it was not an issue that made my family and I change our minds about the amazing place and its staff over there.

Our host Sindi was a highlight - friendly and genuine and kind and made us feel really welcome.
Loved that there is a farm next door where you grow your own food!
Beautiful quiet space, really gorgeous view. A nice retreat.
Food was fine but could have been better.

The villa was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The staff was very courteous. Jim and team have done a fantastic job with decorating and maintaining the property.
The electricity kept getting off intermittently. Probably there was a voltage issue but the staff was quick to respond and correct. The breakfast options are limited.

The private villa place was just quite spacious for just two people and the bathroom was large and beautiful.
The value for money was not good at all. We had a private villa with numerous small problems but most of all it just did not feel luxury, it was a bit run down. The property was pitch dark when we arrived in the evening and the pool was not even lit up to swim at night. There were some bugs, but this was actually not a big issue for us. The fans sometimes didn't work and the hot water almost never lasted for two people. The fountain wasn't functioning and there was small hut to the pool that looked like it once had seating but was now basically abandoned and had no electricty. AND CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED. This was a huge disappointment. Only toast with one jam. Everything else is extra including coffee. Also all of the offer manuals (scooter rental/transport to the city/excursions offered by the accommodation) were not up to date and only showcased old prices which had jumped sometimes but up to 25%. It was really a shame. I would only suggest renting something private here if you are a big family and need the space and privacy but definitely not for a fancy experience.

The beds were comfortable and the place was private and spacious. It was a pretty good value for your money if you plan to spend your time at the villa cooking and using the small private pool, or lounging in the open-air living room relaxing.
The place, overall, felt in need of updating. The colors throughout are just darker colors--even the bed linens were brown and dark colors, and so were the towels. I'd highly recommend freshening the place up with lighter/new paint, switching bedding and towel linens to white--it will brighten up the darker teak decor and help the place feel cleaner. The living room cushions are quite dingy. There was a very friendly villa cat that loved to come lounge on the living room sofa. Super-sweet kitty that we loved petting, but we noticed one of the towels hanging on a lower rack had a very strong male cat spray odor so I think one of the cats on the property is also marking its territory here. Not a big deal but does suggest the place just might need a bit more attention/TLC. Updating the villa with new paint and basic bedding/linens could go a very long way to making the place feel more inviting and clean.
Worth noting: the villa is not easy to get to if you need to carry a lot of luggage up or if you have small children, or if you are older and have mobility issues--you have to get dropped off in a nearby parking lot and walk up a series of steep steps. If you are healthy, traveling light, and not traveling with small children, this is not a problem.
The villa will be about a 10 minute taxi from town.

The location is great. Far enough away from the noise of ubud but has a small village and good cafes close by. Hosts were fantastic.
The unit we stayed in was a bit dated, but they are in the process of updating.

Perfect little gem hidden in Ubud jungle! Me and my husband stayed there for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed our villa with private pool - it was quiet, clean and spacious. The owners, Made and Wayan made sure we had everything we needed, nothing was a problem - they will arrange transport, trips, food or anything else you might need. There are lovely gardens/farms behind the property which Made gave us a tour of - they grow their own fruit and veg there, as well as keep chickens and ducks. Fantastic!
It is a driving rather than walking distance from Ubud centre.

The staff and managers were beyond kind and helpful in ways we could have never have expected or even imagined. The gardens and pool of this house were fabulous. I loved the street leading to the house. As of the first day we had already made friends with many of the shop keepers, taxi drivers, laundry and restaurant staff. it reminded me of what Ubud must have been like 50 years ago. The surrounding areas were lush and beautiful and you felt far from the maddening crowds of Ubud even though it was a short drive away. The house gives a romantic Balinese feel of yesteryear.
We were unaccustomed to the insects and critters that come with Bali homes when we first arrived here and we struggled with what we soon came to realize was the norm. Others who may be sensitive to these critters may want to stay in more modern accomodations. The furniture is basic and we had expected more luxury since we had booked their most expensive villa which was called the Villa Grandeur so the name may have mislead us to expecting more luxuriant accomodations. The house would be AMAZING if the interior and furniture were renovated.

We couldn't have hoped for a better three night stay in Ubud at an affordable rate in an authentic location. The staff were absolutely fabulous - many thanks Jim, Made and all who looked after us. We loved the separated bedrooms with ensuites (living and pool area in between - great for travelling with family) and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed when not having our meals delivered. We were collected from the airport and our driver, Pak Siling, was also available for tours and other transport needs during our stay - he added so much to our time in Bali. So thank you - it has been strange to get on a plane again - but we will look back with great fondness on this gem in Ubud - and have already recommended it to friends and family.
Seriously, nothing!
