Excellent location, stunning place, plenty of room, had everything we needed

Wished we'd stayed longer!

We received a very thoughtful welcome basket and a personal message from the owners, which was a lovely way to start our stay. The house is new, well built and pleasantly decorated. It is very spacious, especially the living room and kitchen. The kitchen is practical and very well equipped, with almost everything needed for a comfortable stay. Each bedroom has its own corresponding bathroom, which was excellent for a large group. The house also has a large television, comfortable mattresses and a well-maintained garden, although unfortunately the rain prevented us from enjoying it properly. Considering the city and the size and quality of the accommodation, this house offers excellent value for money. As we were a large group, we also rented a second house nearby, which was considerably worse despite costing a similar amount. We would happily recommend this property.

There were a few small points that could be improved. The kitchen did not have a hand blender, which we needed to make a traditional Portuguese soup. Shower gel was not provided, and it would also have been helpful to have clear instructions about waste separation, together with the appropriate recycling bins.

blackout curtains would help, given the huge daylight window during Scottish summers

The house is beautifully decorated, very clean, and the kitchen is well stocked.

Just be warned that the walk to town is not far but mostly uphill on the way home😁.
