Beautiful view in a big house right on the water.

You really can't get a better location than the Marine House. It was right on the harbor. Sunrises and sunsets were outrageously beautiful. It was a short (uphill) walk to the town and most restaurants. The owner left us scones and homemade jam. The kitchen was very well equipped. A big house. Lots of room. Fiona was lovely. Parking was right out front.

The Wifi got slow a few times when we were watching TV. The lock box was a little wonky and took a couple of tries to get the key out.

Excellent home

The location of the home was excellent. Just in front of the lake and it was beautiful waking up to views of sunrise through both front bedroom windows. It's a close less than 5 mins walk to nearby shops and restaurants. The entire home was sufficently warmly heated. Although there was no machine dryer, there was a heating rack which was very effective in drying the clothes after washing. The home was very clean and well kept. It had everything that made our stay very comfortable. The free private parking space provided in front of the home was a bonus. Finally, our host Fiona was such a lovely elderly lady. She lives next door and we would occasionally meet her as we moved in and out. She is so friendly, helpful and warm, it feels like she is an old friend, making us feel so welcomed in her home, especially when she gifted us with a pack of eggs. Overall, we would highly recommend Fiona's Marine House for anyone visiting Portree.

Marine House Spectacular

Marine House is in a spectacular location, perfectly clean, with all the facilities you could ask for. Being able to park at the front is a God send. Would recommend staying here to any one.

The location was excellent, with superb views of the harbour and a parking area provided. The house was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean with a very well equipped kitchen. Our host Fiona - was lovely, making us feel right at home from the outset. She provided us with valuable information and warm scones upon arrival.

Wonderful location, well-equipped house

We had a fantastic stay at Marine House Holiday Home. It was very easy to find the property, and the private parking spot right across the street was a huge bonus. The location is amazing - everything in Portree is within a few minutes' walk, and we were also centrally located to explore most of the Isle of Skye. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for our 2 week stay, and we loved eating in the dining room and looking out over the harbor. Fiona is an excellent host and has stocked her home with care and pride!

The beds were a bit hard for our liking, but it is truly the only part of our stay that was even remotely negative.

Perfect! It was wonderful.

Everything! Fiona left scones, eggs and a few other things for our check-in which was greatly appreciated after a long day of driving. It's the perfect location also. The views from all of the windows facing the bay was great, getting to see all of the cruise ships coming in was fun to. Felt like you was at home.

The accommodation is perfect, made even better with Fiona's scones and helpful advice. We had a great time and woke to wonderful views every morning. The accommodation was spotless and had all you need for a comfortable stay. It's situation is also perfect for sightseeing.

The location of the property is absolutely super. Right down by the harbour with stunning views over Portree Bay. Also, the house is well laid out and everything functioned perfectly. Having parking was also excellent.

Heart of the Isle of Skye

Our favourite stay in Scotland. Marine House is unique. The property nestles right at the harbour foreshore. Fiona was waiting for us when we arrived. She was a most delightful host, full of wonderful stories, helpful beyond measure. You have your own private flower garden behind the seawall. Take your choice of chairs at four magnificent windows, upstairs and down, all looking over the ever-changing vista of the bay, mountains, sea and sky. Try the binoculars. They are excellent. The kitchen has everything. It is really well set up. For us, this house was perfect: immaculately clean, warm, comfortable. Nothing lacking. Close to all Skye adventures. Portree is the heart of Skye, and Marine House is the heart of Portree. Cannot recommend too highly.

You must forgive the tourists for taking photos of your view.

LOVED our stay here! Best place on our trip!

Everything about this house was exceptional. Our hostess Fiona was so kind and attentive. We arrived late but she was right there to greet us and make sure we were comfortable when moving into the house. The house sits right on the harbor looking out with picture windows into the bay. This was my favorite place to stay on our trip. Thank you Fiona for giving our family the memories for a lifetime!

The view from the apartment is fantastic! Every morning we wake up to beautiful scenery and in the evening we have dinner with a view. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. The house has everything we need and is very clean. This house is our all time favourite so far.

The Best Guest House I ever stayed

Its a heavenly home situated on a beautiful harbor.. Highly Equipped with all Kitchen & basic appliances and also greatly maintained... Must stay for a family of 4 to 6.. The View from this house is like dream come true.. Happy to the peak for the stay.. Kudos 🙂👍

C'est bien simple, j'ai tout aimé : - la maison est placée idéalement face à la mer - la maison est très propre et très bien rangée - la maison est très grande (3 grandes chambres, 1 lavabo dans chaque chambre, 1 baignoire, 1 douche et 3 wc) - la decoration est réalisée avec des objets achetés chez les commerçants de l'île - Fiona est très attentionnée sans être envahissante. Elle est adorable.

Fantastisch uitzicht

De ruimte, faciliteiten, netheid, gastvrijheid. Het was echt een fantastische accomodatie met een zeer mooi uitzicht. Geweldig! Het is in Portree supertoeristisch, maar je hebt in de avond en nacht nergens last van. Het is heel rustig.

Die Unterkunft hat die beste Aussicht von Portree. Wir haben das Haus nur für uns gehabt. Das hat sich wie ein zweites Zuhause angefühlt. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und super gelegen. Wer die Chance hat, hier zu übernachten, sollte sie ergreifen.
