Great apartment in a lovely estate in a quaint village. Would stay here again!

Love the grounds and the facilities, the apartment has heaps of room and San Giovanni is a great little fishing village in lake Como- close enough to Bellagio (15min walk) and far enough away to feel like you can relax.

No lift with luggage was tough (apartment is on top level), but the hosts did what they can to provide a trolley for the luggage to help transit within the grounds (stone pathways). Hot water in the shower was intermittent.

Unfortunately not worth the money at all.

San Giovanni boat stop is very close. Ferries here to take you to Bellagio.

1.You can't sleep here at all,the bed mattress in the bedroom was very old, noisy, terribly firm.Church bells are nice, but when they wake you up 7:30 am while on vacation, maybe not nice at all.The apartment's walls feel like made of paper so everything depends on neighbours you have. We could not sleep for 3 nights because of loud girls next wall. 2.The apartment is on the third floor, no lifts (OK, maybe even not expected), but narrow and high stone steps. So getting your suitcase up there is really hard. 3.The bathroom is actually the main issue-you have an old school bath - but no shower holder on wall, so you have to hold the shower in one hand and wash you hair for instance with the other - really uncomfortable.But what makes it worse is, that there is no shower cabin/wall, not even a shower curtain, only one tiny bathroom mat is provided. So it gets really very wet in this bathroom. 4.We asked for pool towels, but refused as they charge 10 extra euros for each towel. 5.The kitchen in the apartment did not have any sugar, salt, not to speak of coffee. We found half a bottle of olive oil only,you don't feel welcomed here.Don't let yourself to be fooled of a bottle of wine as pictured on the apartment home page.There's even not a bottle of water for this price.Actually the kitchen does not make sense at all, as the closest food store is in Bellagio and it is a tiny and extremely pricey.So if you don't have a car there to bring all the food from far away it's not practical. 6.Not even enough toilet paper for 5 days we stayed. 7.The local NeneFood is a tiny cafe which gets over crowded every morning and evening, as it is the only place to get breakfast (sandwiches or sliced cold snacks). Service is slow,especially with the young guy,not friendly. 8.TV channels were not working.We let it know to Alissa.Not fixed during next 4 days.9.Only thing we liked was the pool.

Exceptional

Alissa was so helpful and the apartment was amazing. The location was beautiful and was so easy to get to and from the main centre of Bellagio. I would really recommend staying here as it was peaceful and allows you to enjoy Bellagio without getting caught up in the business of it!

Superbe

Emplacement parfait, parc sublime avec piscine et plage privée. Dans le village de San Giovanni, au pied de l embarcadère pour rejoindre Bellagio et les villes du lac. Vue sur le lac et l'église, c'est un véritable coup de cœur pour cet appartement.

Très contents du séjour, un lieu un peu magique

Le parc magnifique en bordure du lac de Côme, le cachet de la résidence, le calme en retrait de Bellagio, la taille de l’appartement pratique avec la cuisine

un peu loin de restaurants, il faut soit marcher au moins 20/25 minutes pour le centre de Bellagio, soit prendre la voiture; un seul restaurant de poissons à côté apparemment très bon, nous n’y sommes pas allés et un petit bar qui fait des paninis très bons le midi. C’est le seul point négatif mais si vous aimez les ballades ou que vous avez une voiture, il n’y a pas de soucis. Nous avons pu manger également dans l’appartement avec la cuisine.
