I found the decor depressing, especially the black carpeted corridors

The breakfast was very good, but the inside seating,in some places was continually, being passed by staff going to the kitchen, which made the meal feel hurried Outside, we preferred, apart from the noise, from the building sites and the beach club

I want to be fair: I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the restaurant service or the room cleanliness. Both were satisfactory.

We made our reservation months in advance and clearly stated that we were booking two separate rooms because we were traveling with children. It was extremely important for us that the rooms be located on the same floor. I received quick and seemingly helpful responses to my emails. As our stay approached, I followed up once or twice more to reconfirm this request, and I was explicitly assured that the rooms would indeed be on the same floor. Since we were arriving very late at night, we even booked one additional night to ensure a smooth and stress-free check-in at 3:00 AM with our children. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we faced a major disappointment. Not only were the rooms not on the same floor, they were not even ready. It is simply unacceptable that an issue we had communicated months in advance — and reconfirmed one week prior to arrival — was handled in such an unprofessional manner. When I addressed this at reception, the staff member responded by saying, “Who said that?” I showed all the email confirmations, and I was told, “Yes, it was written, but something went wrong.” I was also told that I was free to write any negative review I wished, wherever I wished. The fact that each email had been answered by a different person, apparently without any internal communication or coordination, clearly reflects a serious organizational failure. I do not even want to begin mentioning the construction noise coming from outside in the middle of the night. It was extremely disturbing and completely inappropriate at those hours. To be honest, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had However, I am sorry to say this from a colleague’s perspective, but the management and operational organization were simply nonexistent. I am the owner of a hotel chain in Turkey and fully understand that mistakes can happen. What is unacceptable, however, is allowing internal miscommunication and poor coordination to directly impact the guest experience.

Beautiful and comfortable hotel with excellent facilities

Beautiful hotel with 2 sister hotels located next to it. A wonderful choice of facilities, lovely private beach, numerous bars and six restaurants to choose from. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, beautiful bathroom, lovely bed we really could not fault it at all. Close to the tram and easy to get to the metro which takes you into Dubai city centre

The property was beautiful. However the are new properties being constructed adjacent to the property and work continues pretty much 24/7 on these. It was an irritation rather than anything else and would not put me off going back there again.

The construction work in the area ruined the whole stay, the sea view booked was directly facing a construction site, very close and very noisy. You could not use the balcony or the adults beach comfortably because of this.

This hotel is a dream , in a dreamy place of Dubai ! We liked very much the interior design, the restaurants especially Ginger Moon with the nice breakfast and nice view. A very special detail for us was that they offer SPF lotion at the pool, this was new for us The hotel has private beach which is very comfortable for a family with kids

What can I say. From the smooth check in to the small details in the room, everything was just done right. Even things you don’t expect, like my phone charging cords being untangled and neatly organised in the bedroom. It’s little touches like this that remind me why I always choose to stay at W Hotels whenever I can. Breakfast was excellent as usual and never a disappointment. Great variety and quality, with staff constantly checking in to make sure everything is ok and guests are looked after. The only thing I’d call out is the bar service at some venues, especially the pool and beach bars. For the prices being charged for cocktails, the drinks should be made to a higher standard. A bit more training on cocktail preparation would make a big difference. Overall, a really solid stay and I’d happily come back.

Check in was quite slow and when we reached our room 10mins in a service staff knocked the door and just opened it while we are in the room (asking if we needed anything) - I will never understand why staff can just open someone’s room knowing people are inside. Unacceptable

Nice hotel, but would not stay here again until the construction is complete.

There is a significant amount of construction going on around the hotel. This could be heard in our room constantly and the hotel restaurant was playing loud music from 9/9.30am in the morning in what I could only assume was an attempt to drown out the noise of the construction but it only made it worse. The hotel should have disclosed the scale of the construction and that the ‘sea view room’ I paid for was actually a view of a building site.

As soon as we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. The customer service was impeccable and left us feeling special the entire trip. Facilities were top quality not only for families, but for couples alike.

The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful; we felt that our experience was important to them. The hotel facilities were new, with a diverse and impressive design. The breakfast was very good and satisfying.

Due to renovation and construction work around the hotel, the noise from the construction was heard throughout the night and morning, essentially throughout our entire stay in the room. Moreover, the construction activities caused traffic changes towards the hotel, resulting in heavy congestion at the entrance and exit. Aside from the noise and traffic due to the extensive construction nearby, our overall experience was very good

Great location, close to the Marina, JBR and getting on the Palm. Current road closure outside the hotel so traffic heavier than usual, so leave extra time. Lovely spacious rooms, lots of wardrobe space. Modern bathroom with bath and shower. Great service throughout the hotel. The beds at ginger moon pool get secured quickly so you need to make sure you can get beds at early breakfast time. If not we went to Mare by Bussola in the Westin which is a short walk. We ate at Attiko but unfortunately wasn’t part of half board. We ate at Bussola and would definitely recommend. Gym was very good. They surprised my husband with balloons and a cake in the room for his birthday which was a great personal touch.

We had a sea view with balcony, but the view was mainly of construction works. Be aware that Barasti Beach is down below and music could be heard from the room up until a certain point.

An enjoyable family holiday

We loved Ginger Moon (for breakfast & dinner) and Farrago. The access to the beach and pools is great. The room was also very nicely designed and had everything you needed. Most of the staff were very friendly and always happy to help, especially on the beach.

It was unfortunate that we’d not had a good (overnight) flight on our arrival, but this wasn’t helped by the slightly unhelpful receptionist at check in. It was a shame we weren’t able to get an early check in but understandable. We were also very disappointed that we weren’t able to dine at Ginger moon on our last night due to an event. Although there are many restaurants, with small children you are slightly limited and it’s not always desirable to eat at the same places over and over. Latest recipe and Mina’s kitchen are serving almost the same menu too.
