We had a wonderful stay at Il Poggiolo. The house is beautiful and peaceful, with stunning views overlooking the lake. The village is lovely if you like to be in the hills and are happy to be away from the centre of town. There are a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance.
Andrea and Valeria made me and my family feel welcome from the first minute. They went above and beyond, kindly offering to drive us to the station and helping us to make dinner reservations. We needed an earlier breakfast one morning and it wasn’t a problem for them. Speaking of the breakfasts, they prepare great selections and serve the most delicious homemade cakes.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Big thanks to Andrea, Valeria (and Olivia the dog, of course) who made our stay so special. We hope to be back one day!

Andrea e Valeria sono due padroni di casa super accoglienti e gentili, ci hanno dato tantissime dritte su cosa fare durante il weekend. Colazione super, struttura bellissima e spaziosa, con una vista pazzesca, posizione strategica a pochi passi da Stresa. Weekend di grande relax! Spero di tornarci presto, anche per rivedere Olivia (la cagnolina adorabile che abita lì).

La bienveillance de Andrea et sa femme tout au long du séjour.
Andrea parlé très bien français.
Le super petit déjeuner au coin du feu (poêle à bois)
La propreté de toutes les pièces.
Le très bon restaurant situé à 300m à pied : la cucida (conseil de Andrea)
La difficulté pour circuler dans les rues étroites mais ça a le charme d’un village escarpé.
