Good location, all essentials covered, good price and comfortable.

The location was about a 20 minute walk from the main area of Stresa which was nice since we didn't feel like figuring out parking on a busy travel weekend. About halfway through the walk you are already at the boardwalk area next to the lake which is very pleasant. The lodging had a lock box to accommodate late check-ins. We drove from Germany and the Swiss highways shut down so we arrived extremely late in the night since we had to take an alternative mountain highway to reach Lago Maggiore. The apartment itself was clean, had the essentials such as a kettle, napkins, a mini fridge and such. The patio was nice with a beautiful partial view of the lake. Would stay again.

Occasionally the host was a tad lingering. The morning after we arrived late, we noticed him walking past several times to collect the city tax and during checkout, he was right at our door at 10 am to make sure we got out. He said the cleaners were there but we didn't see anyone yet. We were out less than 10 minutes later. The apartment was nice, but spartan. We wouldn't really hang out inside it much since the lake was so close by anyways.

Bed was okay, so was the bathroom.

We stayed in flat C. Barely any daylight (There were three windows: Two of them were covered from outside, the window blind of the other window could not be lifted without keeping the window open). The interior was not well designed (many different bright colors, different shapes and materials for such a small room, various colors of the light bulbs etc). Also it was rainy and cold outside, so the air in the apartment got wet and cold as well. Unfortunately it was not possible for the landlord to turn the heater on. There was no view from our room. We know the price per night was not high, but still the apartment was less than you can expect.

A gem of a place

Salvatore was so friendly and helpful! The place was cl3an and comfortable. Felt like I was in my own homey hideaway despite there being a room next to me. It's down a little alleyway so it could be missed but there's a photo to show where it is.

Lovely guesthouse with beautiful lake view, recommended!

We had a pleasant stay at Guesthouse Serena. The rooms were spacious and stayed nice and cool even on hot summer days. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were decently clean. There was a fridge and a kettle to boil water. From the terrace, there was a beautiful view of the lake. The location is outside the centre of Stresa (it's in Carcinio), but it's <1km walking distance from the train station. Both the host and the cleaning lady were very friendly and always willing to help. Would recommend!

The closet was a little rickety so be careful about opening and closing it. The shower stall is tiny. Also, if you're very sensitive to noise: there is a very excitable dog nearby who barks at everything, though it didn't bother us.

People in charge didn't answer her phone nor check her e-mail. There was nobody to welcome us. We had to come back 2h later

It was nice and cool in the room due to the tiled floor and because the sun couldn’t heat up the room as there was only one window with no direct sunlight. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the towels soft and clean. The landlady was very nice and helpful. It was nice to sit on the little terrace, the area is quiet and authentic.

The room is quite dark and very small. Keep in mind there is no kitchen (except for a refrigerator). Also, if you don’t have a car keep in mind that you will have to walk approximately 20 Minutes to the nearest supermarket and city center, and the property is up in the hills. So a bit of a workout!

Exceptional

Great place! There is a fridge, coffee machine, television, blow dryer. You can have your morning coffee outside on the patio with a small view of the lake. The owner was very nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to travel to the luxurious stresa on a budget.

The shower was a bit small. I am 6'3 though.

Very clean room in a quite location. The guesthouse is hard to find in the first place, but after calling the landlord everything was fine. WiFi connection was good!

Exceptional

Perfect cheaper option for staying near Stresa. Close to Stresa Lido so very handy for cable car to Mottarone and ferries to Borromean Islands. Excellent small shop only 2 mins away that sold everything you could possibly need for a picnic lunch. Also pizza restaurant only a few mins walk away.

Chambre confortable et bon rapport qualité/prix

Chambre située dans les hauteurs de Stressa (ça monte un peu si vous êtes comme nous venus en train et à pied !), bien équipée et très calme. Elle possède un frigo et une bouilloire, ce qui permet de préparer son petit-déjeuner. Nous n'avions pas de voiture, il faut donc compter 10 min pour rejoindre l'embarcadère de Carciano, 25 min pour celui de Stressa. Tous les bateaux ne s'arrêtent pas à Carciano, il faut bien vérifier les horaires. Je recommande pour la rapport qualité/prix, et la localisation idéale pour explorer le lac majeur ! On fait un tout petit peu travailler ses mollets en fin de journée pour rentrer quand on est à pied, mais rien de bien méchant ;)

Muito boa.

O responsável foi simpático e prestável. Estava tudo limpo. A 15 m do centro de Stresa, a 7/8m barcos com partida para as Ilhas. Aqui neste local, existe uma pequena praia pública muito boa e outra privada.

Gostaríamos ter tomado o pequeno almoço usufruído um pouco mais do alpendre e da vista. Como o alpendre partilhado com o alojamento que começou a ser limpo às 8h ( com o aspirador) não nos sentimos à vontade, embora a funcionária fosse muito simpática.

Apartma za ugodno ceno v mirnem okolišu

Apartma sam po sebi ni ravno velik vendar je dovolj udoben za dve osebi, čist in se nahaja v mirnem okolišu. Pozitivno je to, da lahko v lepem vremenu pozajtrkuješ zunaj na verandi. Lastnik apartmaja je mi je prijazno razložil, kje lahko parkiram na javnih parkiriščih, kje najdem najbližjo restavracijo in kako čim ugodneje obiskati Boromejske otoke. Lokacija apartmaje je oddaljen manj dva kilometra od centra Strese in kakšnih 800m od jezera pri pristanišču, kjer vozijo čolni na Boromejske otoke.

Na žalost v apartmaju ni kuhinje, je pa na voljo grelnik vode in mizica, kjer lahko poješ zajtrk.
