Home away from home with the best host ever

Luca is the nicest host I have ever met! He offered to pick me up from the ferry point, something I have never encountered before in all my B&B stays. He was also super patient with a lot of back and forth communication and uncertainty when I had to delay my check-in timing, as I missed my train and wasn't sure what time I would arrive. The room is also very spacious, as well as the separate bathroom where Luca and his wife have been so thoughtful in providing all the amenities, things that you would not expect in a B&B. Staying at Il Ciliego is like having a home away from home...highly recommended when you are visiting beautiful Stresa! Hope to be back again!❤️

It's about 15min walk from the city centre where most of the restaurants are, but in Summer it's not a problem at all to take a nice walk even later at night.

Wonderful oasis outside the chaos of Stresa.

Lovely spot, large room with large bathroom. Private parking. Luca is very helpful and so kind. I will come back . You do not hear the trains at all at night so that is not correct what is written on some of the reviews.

Luca made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. The apartment was very good value.

The property was well equipped and a five minute walk to the navigation quay for the boats to the Borromeon Islands.

The only quibble is that it is a ten to fifteen minute walk to the centre of the town where the majority of the restaurants are situated.

The room was great. Luca, the host, was there to greet us and also lives on-site so he is there to help with any enquiries, we found him charming and helpful. The property was tastefully furnished and very clean. In the room, there were tea/coffee facilities with croissants and biscuits provided and these were replenished each day. In addition, there were tea/coffee facilities, biscuits, confectionary and fruit provided in the communal area of the property. Toiletries were provided in the bathroom as well as lots of other personal products (body lotion, cotton pads etc). There is real attention to detail in this charming property. The boat station, Carciano, is just a couple of mins away for the Borroman islands and other destinations on Lake Maggiore.

Fantastically clean, superb well equipped bathroom, very comfortable firm bed. Fridge in shared kitchen area. Very helpful friendly owner. About a 10 min walk from the train station (turn left as you come out of the station and follow the road to the T junction, turn left over a small bridge and take 1st road immediately on your left. road goes uphill slightly and take 1st road on right....do not take the road that continues uphill. The GH is at the end) and a 3-4 minute walk down to the lakeside

property backed onto the railway line so you could hear the trains. However, there were not many trains at night and I didn't have a problem sleeping. Basic breakfast but in the shared kitchen were sweets and jars of biscuits to snack on....delicious

The host Luca was very helpful and welcoming. We had an immaculately clean, comfortable room with access to a shared fridge. The location is in a quiet street within easy walking distance of the lake, shops and restaurants in Stresa. The off road private parking was invaluable.

The best place to stay in Stresa.

Everything! Luca loves his job and is truly and sincerely polite. The location is perfect. Quiet and only 3 minutes walking to the boats that take you to Borromean islands. One of the cleanest room I have ever stayed. By far the best BnB, can be compared only to 5 star hotels.

Wonderful stay all around! Luca is a perfect and very considerate host. He came to the train station to pick us up, without us asking for it. The room is looking just like on the pictures and perfectly clean. The B&B is a slight walk (20 Min) from Stresa Center. However, if you want to go to isola bella, the ferry Station is just 5 Minutes away.

Very nice B&B with super friendly host

Very clean spacious room with a nice bathroom. In the bathroom there are also creams and other women things. Luca - the owner of this place is super nice and friendly. He let me check in 1 hour earlier (at 12) and that was very nice as I was so tired after my long trip from Milan and I had to prepare for my friends wedding begining at 14. Very good breakfest with homemade cake and fresh croissants. And the price was also very fair. Next time I am in Stresa will definitely stay there again. Strongly recommend this B&B.

If you come there by train, you need to walk a bit to get there (around 15/20 minutes) and the road is not so nice as there is no sidewalk for pedestrians and you need to be careful with autos. However, this is a small minus in comparison with all benefits you get from this B&B.

A beautiful B&B, very helpful and friendly host. The place is very clean, comfortable beds, a good size room and a big bathroom. Attention to detail is excellent - felt like we are at home. Free parking on the site, nearby town Stresa, near ferries to visit all islands.

Five star experience - fantastic host and room

Luca was a fantastic host, he made this B&B feel like a five star hotel - in a home made setting! He was very helpful in giving recommendations for how to get the best out of Stresa. The room was very clean and well equipped. Breakfast in the garden was great, with bread fresh from the bakery. The location is in a calm area, close to one of two ports for the ferry, e.g. to explore Isola Bella.

Comfortable Stay in Stresa

This is the most equipped room I have ever seen as a B&B. There is a variety of sanitary ware, from cotton swabs to make up removers. The host is very kind and helpfull, gives us a lot usefull advise about where to dine and where to shop as a local. We really enjoy the restaurants he advices. There's a free parking space in the lot and although we cannot enjoy the beautiful garden because of heavy rain, i suppose it will be pleasent to enjoy an evening after a long day in the city.

There's nothing I dislike.
