Amaaaazinnnng place!

We had such a wonderful stay at B&B Il Folletto del Lago! The place is magical, the rooms were beautifully decorated and there was even a jaccuzzi where we could unwind as soon as we arrived. The hosts Andrea and his wife were so friendly and helpful! They managed to book us a table at a restaurant with a breathtaking view that was supposed to be fully booked! We will definitely come back and recommend this B&B to our friends!

It was beautiful and romantic, and the staff was very friendly. Their breakfast was very generous. The few was also amazing.

The hot tub wouldn’t be considered a hot tub by American standards- the temp was in the 90s, more like a warm pool.

Their warm hospitality will stay with you long after your visit! Situated in a sweet village overlooking Lake Maggiore, the B&B offers beautifully decorated rooms with cozy beds. A great find, highly recommended!

Absolutely everything!! Super host, beautiful rooms, great breakfast! Everything was super clean. Nice garden with hot tub and private seating area outside the bedroom. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Our host even left small beers, water and a little snack on arrival which was much appreciated after a long drive!

Fabulous B&B - perfect weekend escape.

Fabulous B&B. Giorgia and Andrew were very helpful and friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The property is in a lovely little village above Stresa so has fantastic view of the lake. The room was comfortable with everything we needed, and little added touches like water and arrival snacks. Great shower as well! There were plenty of breakfast options and eggs to order.

Lovely little B&B, beautifully themed around elves. Nice big room with very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Outside in better weather there are chairs, loungers and even a jacuzzi. Breakfast was lovely with loads of choices and a possibility to have eggs if desired. Both owners are charming and very attentive. Do be aware that folletto del Lago is a 10-15 minute drive from the centre of Stresa.

We really enjoyed our stay!! We had a very friendly welcome 😊! The room is very good: spacious, clean, very good bed and pillows, there is a fridge, etc. It's very quiet and a 10min drive to Stresa and there is free public parking on the street. Breakfast on the terrace with a good cappuccino is nice to start the day. Keep up the good work!! We definitely recommend to stay here.

Excellent room and location

The room was comfortable and well-appointed. The hosts were extremely responsive to messages and provided helpful information. We loved the B&B's location high above Lake Maggiore; there were hiking trails all around and a nearby spring with excellent drinking water.

While breakfast was advertised, there was no cooked breakfast in the end. The hosts tried to make up for it with some pre-packaged food items which were unfortunately heavily-processed.

Fantastic stay. Extremely clean, great location, super friendly owners. The Bali like decor is really stylish. Even though we could not take advantage of all amenities due to corona restrictions, we enjoyed everything. Have to get back to enjoy breakfast in the garden next time.

The only little thing- the step in the bathroom to be more visible not to stumble upon (we unfortunately did couple of times especially at night).

Incantevole! Una bella coccola!

La struttura era molto carina. Anche lo spazio esterno che in estate deve essere molto bello usare. Giorgia e Andrea sono molto appassionati della zona e ci hanno dato buoni consigli per dove mangiare, che camminata fare, un mercatino di Natale da vedere… è stato un weekend bellissimo. Quando siamo arrivati avevano messo una birra in frigo con un pacchettino di patatine come aperitivo e quando abbiamo chiesto di fare la sauna ci ha portato due accappatoi con dei cioccolatini anche… molto attenzione al dettaglio! Ahhhh anche la pressione dell’acqua in doccia era favolosa!!!

Sul arrivo la stanza faceva troppo caldo e c’era un profumo di ambiente molto forte.. abbiamo spento il riscaldamento e staccato il profumo poi tutto bene!

Das absolute Highlight war aber das Frühstück

Selten haben wir eine so tolle Übernachtung erlebt wie im B&B Il Folletto del Lago. Das Bett war äusserst bequem – wir haben hervorragend geschlafen. Alles war blitzsauber, es gab wirklich nichts zu beanstanden. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich, offen und hat uns mit seiner Art wirklich beeindruckt – selten so erlebt! Das absolute Highlight war aber das Frühstück: unglaublich vielfältig, liebevoll zubereitet und in dieser Qualität zu diesem Preis kaum zu übertreffen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

In de watten gelegd door ontzettend lieve mensen

Mooie en erg schone BeB, waarbij alles tot in de kleinste details goed geregeld is. Giorgia en Andrea zijn ontzettend aardig. Geven veel tips voor leuke uitstapjes. Andrea zet heerlijke koffie en ze bakken lekkere eitjes :-). Niets is te veel, ze staan in alles voor je klaar.

Ons bed kraakte erg, op zich niet zo heel erg en toen we er iets over zeiden, kregen we de indruk dat ze er gelijk wat aan wilden doen. Je ziet wel op een berg, het is circa 10 minuten rijden, voordat je in centrum Stresa bent.
