Doge’s Stair apartment is located in Sestiere San Polo, a few steps from the Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari.
The location is very convenient for visiting Venice being a 12-minute walk from the Santa Lucia train station, 10 minutes from the Rialto Bridge and 4 minutes from the San Tomà vaporetto station, from which you can easily reach San Marco, the Lido and the characteristic lagoon islands of Murano and Burano. In the immediate vicinity of the apartment there are shops, restaurants and a convenient supermarket.
Sestiere San Polo is ideal for those who want to stay in a quiet place, without being constantly surrounded by the continuous flow of tourists, despite being in the heart of Venice.
The apartment has been recently renovated and is located on the first floor of a typical Venetian building, where the ancient Dogana dell\'Olio was located.
The apartment is very bright and quiet and consists of a living room with sofa bed and open kitchen and, upstairs, a double bedroom with a balcony from which to admire the bell tower of the Basilica dei Frari and a large bathroom with shower. to an attic room. The apartment is very comfortable for four people and can accommodate up to five / six people using the attic room (with sloping ceiling).
There are air conditioning, heating, free wi-fi, microwave, electric kettle and a washing machine in the common area. The furnishings are new with typical Venetian notes, such as exposed wooden beams, an original Venetian-style staircase built in the early 1900s that characterizes the apartment, antique and modern furniture.

This location was not far from the train station, there was a grocery store right outside, restaurants were right outside, and shopping and attraction were 15 min away. This location was clean and had auxiliary space to sleep 4 people. The only thing is if you cant climb stairs this is deffinitely not the place for you. All in all great space.

The Doge's Staircase was a lovely little apartment that had all the necessities. It was clean and it was easy to email the host with any questions- they were pretty quick to respond. It was in a quiet location with an excellent restaurant just around the corner and a grocery store even closer. It was an easy walk to the nearest vaporetto station or a slightly longer (but pleasant) walk to the Rialto area.
