Super nice Host. Helping us a lot after we arrived Fort William. All stuff I can imagine can be found in the house. Firepit and toasting marshmallow is very funny. Beautiful view of mountain in the garden.

Lovely property in a great location

Really lovely, quality property, great communication from hosts and we appreciated the marshmallows and wine! Fantastic views from the garden and it would have been lovely to sit out had it not been for the rain! Instead we warmed up by the log fire and enjoyed the view from indoors, which was not too bad either! The property is well equipped, easy to find and in a great location for the attractions around Fort William.

A perfect place to wake up in, and feel refreshed and energised, ready for the world.

A very modern but easily accessible property, located in the midst of nature, with a backdrop of the mountains. Amazing place to take in the tranquility, with a hot cuppa in hand.

Stayed the one night, wished we could have enjoyed the marshmallows over the fire pit but good old Scottish weather was not helpful. Will aim for a longer stay next time.

Perfect way to start of Scotland journey after a long day of travel.

Very peaceful, clean, and well maintained. After a long flight from the USA and day traveling Scotland, this was the perfect end to that first day. While we didn't meet the owners the facilities were easy to access and had everything we needed, and more. And the box of chocolates was the proverbial "icing on the cake" since we didn't have anything to eat for many hours.

Fabulous stay wish we could have stayed longer!

The cottage is beautifully furnished to a very high standard with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The property is well maintained and spotlessly clean. From the patio door into a lovely garden with outdoor fire pit, lovely furniture, lighting and stunning view.

An ideal base to explore the West Highlands.

Birch Hollow is such a lovely wee cottage, the view from the patio door is incredible and, if we'd had the weather, the firepit would have been used every night. Lots of wild garden birds at the feeder every morning to entertain us during breakfast and Joanne gave us a heads up when some Roe Deer came along to munch on the longer grass near the fence, we also had a wee visit from a mouse on the back steps which delighted my kids. Secluded enough to feel like we were in the middle of nowhere but really just a fifteen minute drive from Fort William.

Not a reflection on the property itself, but if you're planning on eating out every night like us (it's Mum's holiday too!) make sure you book tables in restaurants in Fort William and get on your way there before 5.30pm because traffic backs up and restaurants fill up quickly!

Fantastic - highly recommended.

Immaculate! Very comfortable, very clean, and everything you can think of has been included in cupboards and drawers. The property keeps in heat wonderfully well, we were never cold. The view is stunning, the outdoor space is lovely to eat meals or hang out - the fire pit especially. We were delighted to see deer nearby while we were in the garden.

Exceptional stay

From the minute we arrived we were blown away by the beauty of this place. Very peaceful surroundings but close enough to shops and restaurants. Beautiful views of the mountains and only a 5 - 10 minute drive from ben nevis car park which is a breathtaking mountain to climb. Joanne was an exceptional host and will go above and beyond to make you feel at home. 5* from us all and thank you 🏡🥂

Heerlijk huisje, van alle gemakken voorzien. Echt een aanrader. Op een supermooie plek

Het huisje was prima. Alles was aanwezig. De bedden lagen heerlijk. En het was heel schoon.

We misten haakjes in de slaapkamers en de badkamer om kleren/handdoeken op te hangen en ook in de keuken voor de handdoeken en theedoeken. Verder is een kaasschaaf handig en gebruiksaanwijzingen voor schakelknopje voor verwarming badkamer (zit buiten de badkamer onderaan de muur). En we kregen 1 grote handdoek voor de hele week. Dat hadden er minstens 3 mogen zijn.
