The cottage is excellent. Clean and warm and very close to the beach. The location on the High Street gives you close access to all amenities, especially fish and chips, BUT also located in a very quiet part away from the shops

Space and facilities. Location was convenient
Very noisy very late at night from nearby pub. Lots of revellers outside pub, long after closing hours

Amazing location. Beautifully presented.
The parking was difficult. It would be useful to have a full length mirror. It would also have been nice to have some milk on arrival.

Lovely house, located on the High Street. Close to the shops, fish and chips and pub. The beach was just 2 minutes walk away. The house is very well equipped, very clean with a comfortable and roomy main bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, including a gas hob and an effective oven. We had an issue with the WiFi and this was sorted straightaway.
Leaving!

Clean kitchen & bathroom
Warm and well heated
Nice decor and furniture
Front door lock easy to use, must have been repaired following the many mentions in previous reviews
The house is musty and smells of mould.
Floors are very dirty, dusty and covered in hair/grit especially upstairs- under the beds is a quite the a horror show, as found when I went to retrieve a wayward sock. I think your cleaning company could do with a rocket, if I was paying as much as you are for cleaning, I’d be sacking the cleaners.
Cobwebby light fitting and ceilings.
Please bleed the radiators, they start making a terrible noise at around 6:30am, not great when you’re away on a break and hoping for a lie-in.
Could do with a chair or unit in the bathroom to put things on, there’s plenty of room.
Another lamp in the living room would be good, otherwise you can’t read a book/paper without having the overhead light on which isn’t very cosy.
Bedside lamps - please consider using warm light bulbs and not bright white daylight bulbs, again, not very cosy.
I would encourage you to see if one of the agency staff would stay overnight to pick up on the small but important details that make staying away a treat instead of a slightly disappointing experience.

Clean and well presented.
Kettle needed a new spout filter. Front door was awkward.

Fabulous location at one end of the High St yet not at all noisy at night, very comfy beds, great shower and bathroom, excellent communication with agents in charge. Very well presented house, with a modern light-filled kitchen. The best bakery EVER and two excellent restaurants all within a 5 minute stroll, as well as shops, fish and chips, a very good Thai place ..... we didn't stop eating.

Conveniently located property on the High Street close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Very comfortable beds, modern kitchen and bathroom, lovely living room, perfect for our needs.
The front door was very difficult to open. In fact I couldn’t manage it, thankfully I had my husband with me or I may not have got in or could have been stuck inside!

There was a problem with the lock on the front door and couldn’t get in so had to use the back entrance, this wasn’t resolved during our stay. There was some mould in the wardrobes and the ouside area was not well maintained

Comfortable clean property in a brilliant location 2 minutes from the beach and on the high street with a wide range of shops and restaurants
A few little niggles but suited us as a base for being out and about in Aldeburgh
4.0 / 10.0
Front door was impossible to open, either from the outside or inside so we had to resort to using the back door but the side gate to the street could not be closed.
The shower did not work so we asked the agents to get it sorted…..they responded by asking us to fiddle with the fuseboard!! They said they would check with us to see if it was sorted but they didn’t!!The shower waste was partially blocked which meant the tray filled with water very quickly and we had to wait to finish our morning showering to let the water drain away.
Not sure if a requirement, but there are no smoke alarms upstairs…..
The gas fire has contradictory instructions in the booklet and the note taped to the hearth!! It didn’t work anyway and would have been nice in this week’s cold weather.
There was no dishwasher, so the glasses were unacceptably dirty and we had to wash them thoroughly before we could use them. This is despite the booklet stating that glasses must be washed ready for the next guests.
To sum up, I felt that the £120 charge for cleaning (out of the £290 total cost) could never be justified, particularly as we were being asked to do a load of the work in advance of the cleaners even arriving. It somewhat spoiled the experience in my opinion.

Location was great. Loved the bedroom.
As we were in Aldeburgh already I asked for the possibility of a slightly earlier check-in, which was possible but for an extra charge, which in my opinion was too much for the time period. The house smelt of damp. There wasn't any soap to wash hands for the loo.

The small courtyard garden had not been cleaned the 2 chairs and table were covered in bird droppings and leaves as were yhendecking floor. We had to clean before we could, sit out there. Also there were dish washer tablets but no dish washer or washing up liquid. . Apart from that it was very comfortable and has a great stay.

This was a great location and a great property. Would recommend to friends
I do not understand why the fee for the property includes a £120 charge for cleaning

Lovely house in a great location on the High St, with parking outside and the beach only a few minutes walk.
Door was a challenge to open and stairs pretty steep, but not major problems.
My main issue was the £90 cleaning charge which we had not anticipated when we booked! A bit excessive after a two night stay, especially as we were asked to strip the beds and empty bins etc.

The house was very clean and the location was perfect - just minutes from the beach and on the main shopping street.
No dishwasher
