Lovely house, great location. Recommended.

This is a homely, tastefully decorated and well laid out historic house in a prime location in the middle of Aldeburgh, just a few steps away from the seafront and High St amenities. It was well equipped and great for our group to have a relaxed break and enjoy all that the town has to offer.

The only downside was that the beds are uncomfortable, with lumpy, cheap mattresses. After reading previous reviews on Trip Advisor, we took extra duvets of our own to add a layer of comfort, which helped enormously.

Shabby Chic with the emphasis on shabby

Good sized house and off road parking for a small car was a bonus. Kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of hot water.

Really shabby, carpets need a good clean as they are stained and dirty. Very thing is just very shabby and tired. Over priced for the condition of the house.

location and size

The property needs a lot of attention. Paint is peeling, the beds are uncomfortable, the front door doesn’t lock properly. Just a few of the things needing refurbishment.

disappointing and far too expensive for what was on offer

nice location. my husband spent all his summers there and his sister now owns that house.

No hot water Curtains let light in . Bed not great. Very expensive for a rather shabby place . We moved to a lovely place a few doors down.

Slightly disappointing

Excellent position in the town. Off street parking a bonus. Rooms all a good size and kitchen was well equipped

Outside needs cleaned up and painted, it looks shabby approaching it. Outside space was not well kept and outdoor furniture had not been cleaned for some time. Bathrooms both need updated, the taps do not work well in the wash hand basins. At least 1 chair for those of us with difficulties rising from such low furniture would be appreciated. This property is overpriced for what you get and needs an overhaul.

The house was very cosy and the location was fab. Locals all very nice too!

There were lots of builders vans on the side road and parking space is very tight so we weren’t able to use it. Lots of free parking nearby though.

We were a bit flummoxed about getting the fire lit. And the baby cot couldn’t be used. Maybe instructions for the fire would be helpful.
