As someone who has now traveled to 23 countries and stayed in countless luxury hotels around the world, including many in the United States, I can confidently say that Astera Resort Canggu has delivered one of the most memorable hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. Traveling solo can sometimes feel lonely, but from the very moment I arrived, the incredible team made me feel like I had gained an entire family in Bali. What truly separates Astera from other luxury properties isn’t just the beautiful villas,it’s the people. Every single time I walked through the lobby, even if I had only stepped out for 20 minutes, the staff would stand up with genuine smiles, greet me warmly by name, ask how my day was going, compliment my outfits, and make me feel like the most important guest in the resort. That level of personalized hospitality is incredibly rare, even among five-star luxury hotels. It’s the thoughtful details that transform a stay into an unforgettable experience. Now let’s talk about the villa itself… The rooms are the definition of modern luxury. I absolutely loved the high-tech smart room features, from controlling the lighting with Alexa to the elegant smart lighting system that instantly created the perfect ambiance.

The only think I would like changed compared to my other villa is for them to allow guest to have breakfast sent to room without the extra charge for room Service, and for us to have new resealable water bottles instead of them refilling the bottles themselves and resealing them. Everything else was exceptional.

Rooms are very clean and beautiful, the staff is amazing, super polite and efficient. Reception staff Devi, Rani, Dayu , Mita, Wikan are very nice and greeted us and had small talks every time with a smile. It’s was very pleasant. Location is great and the breakfast is nice, they even offered us a complimentary floating breakfast with our stay, we loved it.
