The Shandwick Place Residence No 2

You could not ask for a better location to explore Edinburgh… short walk from airline made it super easy to get to, easy and well communicated instructions to get in, a bunch of stairs but again well communicated and being higher up in city center is advantageous anyway! To that point very quiet. Well appointed two bed two baths, large kitchen living room and everything we needed to have a great stay! 10/10 will stay again! Bonus, supermarket literally downstairs and next door!

Nothing, completely met our needs!

I have reviewed some previous. reviews of this property before writing mine and seen negative comments on lack of enough items in the kitchen and tired state of the property. I struggle to understand how a few dents on the table and walls or lack of few items in kitchen could affect the overall review of this fantastic property. The property is at an excellent location with easy access to the city center and public transport. There is a well- stocked saintsburys right next door where we bought everything we needed daily plus an M&S food hall only 10 mins walk. We specially loved the layout of the flat, spacious with practical design allowing privacy for the bedrooms while plenty room for kitchen and sitting area. The bedrooms were spacious very comfortable mattress and pillows and powerful shower and bath. Having two bathrooms was essential for us which this property provided. I would also like to thank Karen who was our contact during our stay. She was always available, facilitated our arrival time as suited us and kindly arranged for a few items as requested to be delivered very quickly. We appreciated it very much. We had guests from US with us and we all enjoyed this flat for the week it was our home .

Nothing worth mentioning here.

1 toilet heater rack was not working. More toilet basic amenities can be provided like toilet rolls especially when staying more than 4/5 nights, as it was barely sufficient for us.

Läget var bra och lägenheten var stor. Vi åt frukost i lägenheten. Fanns en matvaruaffär utanför porten.

Dåliga hårda sängar och stenhårda kuddar. Dålig badrumsbelysning för sminkning. Dåligt utrustat kök. Vi fick endast 1 liten handduk + 1 liten badlakan per person på 5 dagar. När vi bad om fler kostade det 45 pund extra. Ena badrummet hade en dusch som värmdes med eget varmvatten. Det var dåligt tryck i den och blev kallt vatten när man stängde av. Med tanke på priset för lägenheten så var det överlag dålig standard.
