Spacious and well-equipped caravan on well-kept and attractive site.

Self contained with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The communication from the Park leading up to our stay was excellent. Dog-friendly, spacious and well-equipped including super fast Broadband. The site itself was pristine, well maintained with neat gardens. Good facilities for dogs. Excellent location for nearby sites of interest and beaches.

Lovely caravan with everything you need in a convenient location

The property was really clean, bright, airy and comfortable. The location was perfect for us as we were attending a family wedding about 10 minutes away so it was really convenient. There’s everything you could possibly need including extra blankets, a hairdryer, towels etc. There’s lovely outdoor furniture which would have been really welcome had it not rained for most of our stay. The site is clean and neat. Other people are respectful and friendly. Alan communicated with us really well and replied to messages really promptly. We would not hesitate to book again.

We struggled to get the shower to be warm enough. There were dogs next door that barked constantly during the day. I guess this was the luck of the draw. I don’t know if they belong to the owners or holidaymakers. It’s a dog-friendly site so it goes with the territory. My noise-cancelling headphones came in handy!

4 berth caravan Tarka Holiday Park

The caravan is beautifully clean and has a radiator and an electric fire in the lounge/kitchen area, plus an electric radiator in the bedroom, so it is very warm and cosy. It was lovely and sunny when we stayed, but the evenings were chilly, so heating was nice to have. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery plus 3 decent saucepans and a frying pan. A bonus was the hand towel and tea towel in the kitchen, and clingfilm and washing up liquid were provided. Unusually, in my experience of hiring holiday accommodation, the sharp knives were actually sharp, which was much appreciated. There is a designated parking space right in front of the caravan. The free wifi works well. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the birds in the tree. The sunsets were lovely too. Adrian, the owners son, who manages the van very kindly phoned us to tell us the van was ready and to make sure we had the keycode. All in all, a lovely break. I'd come back anytime.

Great little holiday caravan in with private owned caravans

Location was excellent and the position of caravan with its decking enabled you to catch the last rays of sunshine

Only negative was toaster did not work so used the grill which wasn’t the best , this could easily be rectified by buying a new one , I know it’s not law but electrical appliances are out of date with the PAT testing and when in the shower the little silver disk by shower head keeps falling off

A fabulous caravan for our little holiday!

We loved absolutely everything about this holiday home! Caravan was spotless and soft furnishings were all co-ordinated. Owners of the caravan were extremely helpful, even going as far as to source a travel cot for us so that we didn't have to take one with us. Communication was great from time of booking to just before our stay, during and after! Caravan also has a lovely decking area which we could use and because of the gate meant our little one could roam between being inside and out without the worry of caravan steps. Owners had also put the basics in the caravan like washing up liquid, soap and towels, even salt, pepper and oil. Caravan is also in a great position for days out and owners had also put together a little booklet with key information in like nearest shops, ideas for days out and useful information like the heating in the caravan! The caravan site has a lovely little play area that our little one loved as well as a dog exercise area! We will 100% be booking again. (Photos were taken as we were leaving so beds were stripped)

Only thing we struggled with was there was no masher!

The owners were very helpful and dog friendly. Will be returning. Ideal, peaceful location for visiting north Devon.

Quiet, relaxing just what the doctor ordered!

Enjoyed our stay. Perfect location for days out. Information left by our hosts was really useful. Dog walking area very useful for those “comfort” walks.

The only complaint I can think of was the dog walking field and the universal owners who don’t pick up after their dogs!

Spacious, clean and tidy, and some nice extras such as bath towels, some kitchen essentials and entertainment, including wi-fi. Communication was excellent, before, during and after our stay.

Great hosts, lovely static, good value for money!

It’s a lovely clean static with great facilities- we hardly had to bring any of our own cleaning products, or towels. The static also has a lovely decking area outside. Additionally, the owners of the static have put together an incredible booklet with lots of great suggestions of places to visit- we ended up having the best time thanks to their recommendations!

The location is a little out of the way but was no problem for us as we drove around to lots of different tourist spots!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The caravan was very well equipped and very clean. Tarka holiday park was really quiet and peaceful and close to many interesting places. The dog exercise area was excellent. Our hosts Alan and Marie were easily contactable and very helpful.We slept really well in the comfy beds. Sitting on the decking in the sunshine was great 😀

Minor personal preferences. A larger TV, a tea pot, a second pillow in the single bedroom. Maybe the container in the shower could be moved to the side or rear wall?

Lovely clean static home in an ideal location

Exceptionally clean with everything required for a comfortable stay. Great location with lots of picturesque villages just a short drive away. The dogs made full use of the exercise area which they loved. Lovely hosts with fab communication.

Alot of extras that you dont normally get like an iron and small table ironing board. Plenty of hangers,a vacum cleaners even an abundance of loo roll and cleaning equipment. Very good wi-fi reception ,smart TV. Bus stop outside. Proprietor very helpfull even had the heating turned on prior to our arrival.

Windows not double glazed so abit draughty not sure if caravans are normally double glazed. The heating system in one bedroom didnt really heat up the room and the hot water for the shower seemed to take an age to get hot.

Friendly, very well equipped, good location.

Location close to beautiful beaches. Quiet, well heated and fully equipped with towels, kitchen utensils and other necessities. A fantastic fire place to enjoy in the evenings. A dog friendly place, which is a huge bonus. A big selection of DVD's for kids for rainy days. Alan and Marie are very friendly and approachable, always ready to help.
