Great location but freezing

Location was great. Very close to Headington Shops and John Radcliffe Hospital. Nice pillows.

It was very cold. Even with heating on. Had to wear my shoes inside because the floor was freezing.

Fantastic location

Location, location, location. 3 houses down from the Manor hospital, it was 30 second walk to the main entrance. Veer quiet, easy to find, parking avaiable. Shower wasn’t too bad if it had stayed in position, tea and coffee provided. Once I worked out how to get the heaters on it got warm and cosy. Towels provided.

Needed a deep clean, shower was mouldy in the grout, shower door didn’t close, shower head wouldn’t stay in position. Bathroom sink had mould around over flow. Bathroom floor also mouldy in grout. Crumbs in kitchen area, kitchen sink hadn’t been cleaned very well. Saw lots of long black hairs everywhere. All Floors needed sweeping, washing, doors and skirting boards. Bedroom floor ditto and all skirting (especially under the window) and doors needed a good wipe over. If these were all addressed I would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

Cleanness was a big issue. Cleaning was insufficient everywhere - hairs found on towels, no change of bedding (smelly) and towels during long stay (17 days), bad drainage system (almost clogged), shower door not closing, lack of kitchen tools (missing rack of microwave- only tool to cook) etc.

Basic but clean and in a good location.

It was very close to Oxford Brookes University and provided off street parking. It was secure and private and close to local shops. There was a smart TV and the bed was comfortable. It was spotlessly clean.

The sofa was small and not comfortable at all. There were just 2 plates, 2 bowels and 2 mugs plus mismatched wine glasses plus just 2 each of forks, knives and spoons. Could not make toast as no toaster just a microwave/cooker. No tea provided. We booked for 2 nights but only stayed one and headed home after our event. Location was good but the comfort and detail could be improved. The shower door didn’t close fully and the floor got wet as no bath mat provided.

Small, affordable self catering flat in Headington

It was perfect for our needs as we were only sleeping there and then making a tea in the morning. The location was perfect for us and the price was competitive. The owners allowed us to drop our bags there early, before check in time. I am very grateful. I would recommend this flat for a short city break if you require self catering/your own space in the Headington area.

The flat was very hot because of the heatwave. There was a very small sofa and a desk with one chair instead of a dining table, just as the photos indicate. And the floor could have done with a sweep.

Location was main priority

Very basic, only one chair, no table, very small 2 seater sofa with cover, seats were stained, microwave smelt, only 2 plates, 2 mugs, 1 bowl crockery, 2 knives, 2 spoons, 2 forks, cutlery, Heaters only stayed on max 2 hours, towel rail in bathroom, control was behind microwave, so, not easily seen, woke up freezing cold, no toaster, had to use grill section in microwave. Had to park my car between 2 other cars, worried I would get dings from other people trying to open their doors.

Good location for local hospitals. Very quiet too which was a bonus. The bedding was clean and bed comfortable.

The flat smelled of mould which struck you as soon as walking in. There was a dehumidifier switched on in the living area, which was loud and I imagine in place to try and reduce the condensation. The radiators were off, the flat was cold (winter). The radiators could be pressed on via a push button timer but only for a fixed and maximum 3 hours, so switched off in the night. The bathroom radiator was off - the control switch was not clearly indicated in another room. No instructions for the flat that could be found. I was in need of accommodation at very short notice and was lucky to find a room. I was disappointed that the flat was so damp and cold. (traces of mould on the walls around the front door). I had a cough the next day and did not feel rested. I would suggest that the damp needs to be addressed. A light by the keypad to see the access numbers would be helpful. I used the torch on my phone fortunately.

The apartment has everything you need. It was clean and the bed was very comfy. The parking space was a bonus. It is within walking distance to the shops and cafes in Headington and buses for getting into Oxford city centre.

My only negative is that the apartment was cold when I arrived (7pm). I managed to put the heating on in the living area and bedroom, which didn’t take long to warm up, but not the bathroom. I should have contacted the host but as it was late in the day and I was only there for one night I didn’t bother.

The location was very close to the hospital where my daughter was an in patient.

The cleanliness of the accommodation. The kitchen sink was dirty. The microwave was dirty. The scourer that was left for us to use was dirty. The sofa was badly stained. The bedding was dirty, sheet was stained and did not smell clean. We did not sleep in the bed we put our towels on top and slept on those. Same with the sofa. The sofa was of very poor quality and we could feel the wooden frame through the thin cushions. Basics in the kitchen were missing, bottle opener for example. Overall the apartment was at best grubby and in areas of concern, kitchen and bedroom it was dirty. We had little choice but to stay as we needed to be near our daughter but we eat at the hospital. I made a complaint to Booking.Com who went through their procedure and contacted the hosts, the hosts did not respond. I had a £21 credit from Booking.com. My advice to anyone needing to visit the area, book into Premier Inn, 2 miles away, its cheaper and an urber ride to this location twice a day would still mean you are below the cost of this accommodation.

Newly renovated and very clean. Very convenient location to Oxford Uni hospital.

Heaters were on automatic timers that cut off every 2 hours, so that was quite inconvenient in the cold of winter. By morning the entire flat was freezing cold. Apparently due to energy costs, (why not charge a few pounds more to cover it?) but as a customer this was not good.

Had some basic ammeneties, parking and good location. Microwave. Host was very nice.

It was very cold even with the heating on full. Apartment was very dirty, looked like it wasn't cleaned prior to my arrival, flies and cobwebs everywhere, hair and dirt on the floor. Bed wasn't comfortable. There was also a dead fly on it. The shower had no pressure at all. I tried giving it the benefit of the doubt but it just didn't have the basics right and I didn't feel that comfortable there. I think the minimum that is required for any place is that it is cleaned. It wasn't hoovered or mopped, so I spend the first hour or 2 sweeping and using wipes on the floors and all the surfaces. I am quite disappointed because the host is very nice, but the flat needs to be much better as it's not got the basic things correct. I'm sure with these small tweaks it could be so much better, but unfortunately I won't be staying again as I felt very uncomfortable there with all the dirt and insects everywhere.
