Good stay in a lovely area with some great beaches, facilities were really good on the site

Great location. Overall the place was clean and tidy.Good location close to the main facilities at the site. The owner was helpful and responded to any requests. Bedding was provided and was clean.

Beds were not great. Mattresses on the single beds were uncomfortable and the main double bed was damaged and propped up with wood.

The caravan was in a good location. The caravan site is very nice. The caravan we stayed in was not reflective of the pictures posted on booking.com. The pictures must have been from some time ago when the caravan was newer. Although the caravan was clean, it's clearly very old or poorly maintained. When we walked in, there was a musty smell which came from the carpet and furniture. There were trims missing off the chair. The cooker has no markings, so you don't know what temperature you are cooking your food on. There are rips on the wallpaper, and the towel rail in the bathroom is extremely rusty. The advert states an iron was included, there wasn't. I spoke to the host who directed me to another caravan to borrow one. This didn't work so we had to pay £15 to hire one. They are refusing to reimburse us. The hoover didn't work, they didn't replace it. The shower didn't work, maintenance had to come and replace it. It was quiet as we went out of season but it's worth noting the caravan is on the main road into the camp so in the main season I imagine this would be busy so not ideal if you have children. There is also a big gap at the top of the front door that I see was raised in a review in 2023 but still not fixed. When I raised my concerns with the host, there was no apology and no regard to our enjoyment. They just seem to be bothered about making money and not spending any. It costs over £1000 to book for a week in the summer, if I'd have paid this I would have been very upset.

The location was great and communication good when we contacted with problems.

The location was great and property had everything as described.

Unfortunately the shower didn’t work so we were unable to use this, we were out all day so not there for anyone to come and sort for us. The facilities onsite were closed and we weren’t aware of this when booking so couldn’t even shower at the pool. It could have done with a clean. Dusty and green mould left in the coffee jug where this must have been used some time ago and just put back. I did wash this out as couldn’t leave the mould on the side.

Disappointing

The site was lovely and the facilities were great The views were really nice And was easy to get to. The staff were lovely and very friendly.

The caravan was dirty and hadnt been cleaned before we got there, so I cleaned and hoovered. I also cleaned and hoovered before we left. It was annoying having to bring bedding and wasn't advertised we had to, until we got the confirmation email. A car was parked in front of our caravan in our space The caravan was very basic. The duvets and pillows were very thin.

Wasnt told that the park was under renovation and nothing was open. Van was right next to a building site so woken up to diggers wasnt ideal. Caravan was decent, and location if you have a car is fine. Just ashame we wasnt told about there being no amenities

Very disappointing and upsetting, resulting in us leaving after night two when booked in for three.

The property was fine. Certainly a prime example of you get what you pay for. At £50 per night for two, with no pressure to get up in time for breakfast, it served our purpose.

Looking forward to a daily swim, there was no indication, when booking the accommodation, that a pool pass was going to cost an extra £20 for 1.5 days. The pool was closed on the first morning as there was no lifeguard but reopened in that afternoon. I had visited this site in the past and pool passes were in the caravan and free to use. A small fortune has clearly been spent on the bar which is lovely and the pool which is now indoors, replacing the outdoor pool since my last visit. However, the food was expensive for what appeared to be typical pub chain bought-in ready meals. The final nail in the coffin for us was the principal that parking was a free-for-all which meant the tarmac hardstanding outside our gate and under our lounge window was not only for our use but also for any person inconsiderate enough to use....and she did. The site has been running as is for 2.5 weeks. There are still carpenters, petrol-fuelled equipment operators and other noise emitting tradesmen on site from 6.30am.

Great location and a fab stay.

Lovely view of the trainline, great cliff walks and super location.

A few extra kitchen bits would be great e.g. wooden spoon, baking tray, tin opener. Also, we didn’t know that any of the park facilities were available this week - even the entrance to the park! Reception was a portacabin and the whole park was a building site, complete with diggers from early in the morning.

Poor

Location was very good, it was really close to beaches and the coastal path. There were really nice walks with lots of wildlife and flowers. Gorgeous views. The steam trains passing was lovely.

When we booked, the swimming pool, restaurant and general facilities were shown as being available. However when we arrived they were all closed as they were being rebuilt. We were next to the rebuilding so had constant, daytime, noise from diggers and bulldozer etc. Only 1 key was provided, which caused problems on 2 occasions. Once I had to lock my husband in when he was asleep and I wanted to go out. Another time he was out and I had to wait in for his return before I could go the beach. It was very frustrating! We wanted to stay at a caravan so we could cook, however there was not enough pots and pans to do this. Had there been 6 people there would not have been enough crockery. It was not well equipped! We were really cold at night. We eventually found the heating manual in a top kitchen cupboard. A welcome folder with useful information would have been helpful. The caravan was very shabby. There were rips on the settees so the foam inner showed through, scratches and chips in the table and worksurfaces. the radiator in the shower room was leaking badly.

The location was ok

The caravan was dreadful. No wifi as advertised. Cooker was only partly working but had no controls. No instructions regarding heating or anything else. No smoke alarms fitted. This caravan really shouldn't be advertised.

Hadn't been made aware that the onsite facilities, which were the reason for booking Waterside, would be closed for maintenance. Disappointing. The boiler hadn't been left on, so we had to reboot it to get heating when we first arrived. Not even a dishcloth provided.

Everything was very good except for the duvet and mattress cover on the double bed.

The location was easy to find and the views were marvellous. Room to park was next to the holiday home which was very convenient for us but looked to be fairly unusual looking around the camp site

The duvet and the mattress cover were disgusting on the double bed. The duvet had a hole - about 8 cm wide so the filling fell out. It was also not very clean and needs to be thrown out. The mattress cover was stained and well used and needs washing or replacing. Disappointing.

it was nice and would like to stay again some time. a comfortable arm chair would add to the stay.

On arrival at the units it was very difficult in finding the actual unit as it was indicated in an area but was not there as on the outside of the unit it said 15 i was looking for 75almost an hour. when i left the unit i cleaned and left it ready for the next people ,after many years working in this industry for many many years i know how people normally leave.

The caravan wears very clean and comfortable

Needs to have instructions how to work things eg the boiler. I was freezing cold and had to keep my coat on. If it wasn’t for the kindness of two maintenance men on site who got it to work I don’t know what I would have done. The owner was very unhelpful.
