Cheap and convenient

It was remarkably cheap and once the host explained ho wto turn the heating on, it worked well and kept us warm.

Very little to nothing in terms of tea or coffes and no toiletrees. The place smelled of smoke, even thought there is a clear smoking prohibition and the host wanted to me cancel the booking the day before we arrived and pay him directly, which I did not agree to. Half of the light bulbs did not work

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - should not be allowed to advertise

In the middle of an industrial estate in Ayr which I would not even entertain. Looks like some refuge site. Number on booking is some bloke who won’t answer rude and aggressive then proceeds to give out number to some person. Landlord whoever it is is rude and aggressive after they were in the wrong and we waited over 3 hours to get access. No apology no refund given just aggressive messages. Property is a joke and should be removed from booking. Do not engage with this property at all.

Very disappointing

Even though the street where the accommodation is doesn’t feel safe, the accommodation is very close to town center, in walking distance.

I had a very disappointing stay. When I arrived, there were no instructions on how to check in. It was already dark, and the area didn’t feel safe. I had to wait around thirty minutes for the host to respond after several calls and messages, only then receiving the key safe code to enter. The apartment was very cold and there was no internet connection. I contacted the host several times about the Wi-Fi problem, but the only response I got the next day was a message saying that I was using too much electricity and might run out of credit before the end of the week. The building’s main door was always left wide open, which made the property feel even less secure. On the third day, the entire staircase and corridor smelled strongly of weed... I booked this apartment for a week-long business trip because it was the only option with a kitchen available, but I truly regret staying here.

BEWARE THE £100 SECURITY DEPOSIT IS A SCAM

The apartment was descent for the price

Beware the owner will FAIL TO REFUND THE £100 SECURITY DEPOSIT, utilising various excuses!!! Over a month later and I am still waiting after excuse after excuse. THE PHONE NUMBER GIVEN IS BOGUS.

HORRIBLE, SCAM!

SCAM! The owner charged a 100-pound deposit before our arrival. After leaving the place spotless, I asked about the deposit. What followed was two months of back and forth with the owner saying the deposit was being sent and it was the fault of another organization. However, the money never came. Despite this fact, our stay was bad. There was no wifi, and the owner did not respond to our message asking for help. The place also did not have hand soap in the bathroom, so we had to purchase our own. I understand you get what you pay for but this was worse than that.

Be careful 🚨

I rented this flat and paid a refundable deposit (as they insisted I must pay it) of £100. After moving out and fulfilling the rental agreement terms, my deposit has not been returned. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I have not received my refund. I am disappointed and concerned that others may face the same issue.

A Lovely property with good local shops & a takeaway next door to the property highly recommend.

No how water tried numerous times but boiler would not respond, Electric shower kept cutting out making my partner not a happy bunny when freezing water arrived in the middle of her shower Internet but minus Wi-Fi causing no tv after numerous attempts to tune them in. Had get help from neighbour [to contact Gary due to phone number given not being recognised when phoning him] due to incorrect code being issued for keysafe also no yale key on keyring for entrance when arriving back from an evening out forcing us to chap up the neighbours for entry.

Absolouty terrible and staff were shocking.

Gary who owns the property was non helpful. Next door were arguing all night keeping my children up and scared. He told me i should have told them to be quiet aye no bother and get my family involved.

We were woken up by next door shouting all night and arguing and smashing there house up.

Crown Street Getaway

Nicely set-up flat,like the sofas,very clean. Everything necessary for cooking and preparing food was there although family went out to dine. Quiet night.

There was a couple arguing in flat next door,not so good but we know owner of Crown Street Getaway cannot do much about that. They were quiet at night and in morning.

The stay served our purpose as we were down for a weekend to meet friends who live in Ayr.

Area was good, ample room in bedroom,

Could be done with a new double mattress, was like sleeping on a caravan bed, no springs to it. Only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel for a 3 night stay for 2 people. No toilet roll! Could t get the boiler to work so no hot water or heating. Thank goodness there was an electric shower. Directions where to find the key were given in a Check in email (which was after check In time) which was unclear.

The apartment isn't fit for health n safety reasons the toilet seat is broken the shower wire thing fell on me because its broke and only been sellotaped up. The heating doesn't work and hasn't bn serviced in yrs one of the windows was broken. They doubled booked another couple in at the same time

My party of four had a great stay with a good sleep. Great value for money.

Self catering. Location very central to shops, ayr town and transport. Apartment exceptionally clean and spacious with sky TV and WiFi. Heating very easy to use and kitchen had everything we needed except sufficient cutlery and drying clothes. My party of four were very comfortable and had a pleasant stay with a good sleep. Great value for money.

It would have been good if the advert had told us they did not supply towels. One toilet roll between 4 people for 2 nights not sufficient. One knife and three forks for 4 people not sufficient

Overall lovely property, good communication from owner. Straight forward access.

It was very cosy and spacious, hidden from all the pubs and stuff which is good but also very close if wanted.

There wasn't any towels at the property for shower/bath, wouldn't have been a problem to take my own just thought there would've been towels there, also alot of noise/shouting etc from neighbours nextdoor

It’s central to Ayr, large apartment, parking on street right outside, easy to walk to shops. Bedroom and living-room felt clean and tidy.

Kitchen wasn’t very clean, had to go buy fairy liquid, hand soap, towels. The sponge in kitchen was mouldy, plates and cups in cupboard was dirty. The knives for cutting didn’t have points on them. The shower curtain rail fell during stay had been previously taped and bath leaked.

No towels provided, despite being listed. Had to chase owners for checking in information to be told, on day of check-in and after we had left that 5here would be no towels. Not great when travelling light for an early Ryanair flight.

Location was excellent as used this for a stopover before an early morning flight from Glasgow prestwich. The price, for what we need it was a really good price, especially for 4 people.

The corridor to the flat smelt like some of the cafes you walk past in Amsterdam. The flat itself luckily did not. However, the bathroom had a very strange smell, damp mixed with something else, the flooring definitely needs replacing. The shower curtain was broken and kept falling from the ceiling, it was held up by tape. No loo roll, so had to pop out and buy some. Kitchen had pretty much all what you needed, no instructions for the boiler that I could find, so could not get hot water, boiled the kettle to wash up. No washing up liquid but some random cleaning products left under sink. Sitting room was lovely, but when the kids put the recliners up, underneath was full of crisps etc. and be careful with curtain rail as when I pulled the curtains open, the pole moves and almost fell down.

Comfortable, Convenient, Perfect for our needs!

What an absolute gem of a place! My daughter and I were doing a family pilgrimage and we did not want any time constraints so being able to arrive at a time to suit us and collect the keys from the key safe was perfect. We booked this property based on location, availability and price so hadn't really looked at the listing. We were surprised to find that it was a whole apartment. The beds were really comfortable, the lounge was comfortable too. It was just absolutely perfect for our needs. We were able to walk into town and there is an Aldi just 5 minutes walk away which was really convenient. Clean, well kept, good location not far from the centre of town with free parking. I would highly recommend staying here.

Couldn't get into the lock box to get the keys out. Stood in the pouring rain for ages trying with the number provided. No answer on the mobile number provided so had to sleep on someone's floor instead. Luckily had family staying in the area. Was just what we needed after family funeral.
