Great location. Lovely back garden. Well stocked kitchen.

No dishwasher. No downstairs shower.

It was in a great location, the house had plenty of space, good parking. It was perfect for our needs. Very clean, I would recommend and would not hesitate to stay again.

cosy little cottage set away from the main road. beautifully decorated - almost feels like home. lovely garden. ample sleeping spaces for up to six people! fully-equipped kitchen.

wish the fireplace could have been working - a nice fire on a cold night would be lovely. alcove rooms not suitable for taller adults. ground-floor bathroom not possible to use as shower. upstairs bathroom a bit cramped. need to figure out which switch powers up the heater (see first picture - left cord switches on the heater, right cord for the lights).

Good location. Close to Ayr centre and in quiet spot. Small south facing garden was perfect spot to sit in any sunshine.

The property was tired & filthy and when we arrived there were dirty rags in the kitchen/ toilet sink that stunk, dirty toilets/ shower, dog hairs and I hate to think when the carpets and floors had last been cleaned. The bedding had holes in and the towels which had once been white were a dark grey colour with holes in them. Not what we were expecting for a Booking.com rating of 9.2! When we arrived as scheduled (I had even sent the owner an email to her personal email address to confirm we were coming) it quickly became apparent all was not well and not just with the cleanliness of the property. The owner had double booked and became quite aggressive with us as we had phoned to ask where the front door key was and why the property seemed to be half cleaned. When she brought us the key and finally agreed we could stay at one point she opened the fridge/ freezer which had something moldy in it. She threw the offending item out and then just closed the fridge door, turned the fridge/ freezer on and said that's a shame. Because the fridge/ freezer had been turned off it smelt so much it made me retch and no amount of cleaning would get rid of the awful smell. The owner left my husband and I to clean the fridge/ freezer and dirty bathrooms, etc. We had to buy our own cleaning products. Some start to a supposed holiday to get away from it all. Unfortunately the fridge/ freezer was unsalvageable but all the owner did was give us a refund of £50 as compensation. I do not understand why she didn't offer to replace the fridge/ freezer or offer us more compensation given we had to eat out all the time for 6 days at our cost. We had not planned to do this. None of the gas or electrical products in the house have been tested as is legally required for holiday lets. The gas fire actually didn't work down stairs as had a sign on it. The broadband was incredibly slow and most of the channels on the Sky Box didn't work.

Location, External aspect, Safe space for children and off street parking. Open plan living.

The broadband needs fixed as the speed was incredibly slow. The house could have been cleaner.
