Very Disappointing- Not as Advertised

Sadly, this stay was nothing like the photographs. The accommodation was tired and poorly equipped, with warped flooring, no glove for the log burner, and nowhere to store clothes. The instructions for the log burner did not mention how hot it would become, and with no glove or warning provided, my partner burnt his finger while adjusting the vent as instructed. The eco toilet was positioned directly beside the bed — something not disclosed until after booking — and the smell was overpowering and unpleasant throughout our stay. The mattress was very uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep. The outside table and chairs were old and unkept, as were the decking and garden area. There were no cleaning products provided, and the hut sat beside a barn full of rubbish. We found the conditions intolerable and left early, paying for another property for the remaining two nights. I was also very surprised by the high review scores, as our experience did not reflect them at all. I can now understand why it was listed as non-refundable. A very disappointing experience overall.

Lovely

The location is amazing, it’s very quiet and peaceful. Very green, lots of birds everywhere and the owners are lovely. You get everything you need for cooking (air fryer, cutlery, plates, hot chocolate - you name it!), bbq, leisure and a comfortable stay. The eggs, bread, butter and milk were provided which was such a nice surprise on arrival! Perfect place to enjoy peace, quiet and nature. Although we had almost no signal (O2 and Three network), we found this to be more of a positive thing because it was very relaxing, it helped to switch off and enjoy our stay even more without being constantly glued to our phones .

Like others have mentioned, toilet requires some getting used to but is absolutely fine once you do.

Quiet and cosy cottage with lovely views.

Milk, Eggs and bread were a lovely surprise on arriving. Lovely location and lovely veranda to sit and eat breakfast and enjoy the view. Convenient for everything we needed during our stay. Nicely decorated and great use of space.

It would have been helpful if the telephone number of the local taxi company, Llandeilo Taxi, was available. As there is no tourist information available in Llandeilo, it took a while to obtain the number. 07831 806 981.

Lovely location and excellent facilities

Everything was perfect. Excellent use of space within the hut and it had everything you could possibly need, including eggs, bread, butter and milk which we thought was a really nice touch. We would definitely stay here again and will be recommending to friends and family looking for some peace and quiet.

Dryw Bach was the most beautiful and spacious glaming hut we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in lots!) Stunning location in the middle of the country side! The hut was lovely and private (as well as self check in which is great!), wonderful outside area for breakfast and dinner as well as being immaculate inside. This glamping hut unlike most has EVERYTHING you will ever need, from bedding, complementary fresh food (bread, milk, butter and eggs), hot choc with marshmallows to a lovely warm shower, hot water bottles and an even warmer wood burner. This place is truly incredible and I would recommend this glamping hut to everyone for a perfect little getaway! Not to mention we brought our dog, the absolutely lovely Donna and Lee had set out a little doggy bed in front of the fire with a dog bowl and treats! They went above and beyond our expectations! I honestly couldn't recommend this place any more and we can't wait to go back again! Thank you both so much for making my birthday the most incredible time!

The hut was in a beautiful location with everything we needed included. The property owners even left us some goodies such as fresh eggs, milk butter ect which was very lovely and much appreciated :) The adorable cats also kept us company <3

Peaceful retreat

Tasty, generous welcome pack. Easy parking. Hosts were always quick to respond to messages and always friendly and flexible. Great use of space in the glamping hut. Lovely and quiet location - watching the birds in the nearby tree is proper soul food.

The place was a bit chilly when we arrived but we lit the log burner and popped the electric radiator on and it soon heated up nicely. That said, we arrived a day late and perhaps the hosts had had it all cosy for the day before!

Secret little gem 💎

Lovely place in a remote setting . Little details were perfect, arrived to find fresh produce of milk, eggs, bread, orange juice and even sweets . Kindling and fire wood for the wonderful log burner . The cabin was amazing and the birds on the door step kept the hubby entertained . Perfect place to relax and unwined . Highly recommend staying here if you want to escape reality and relax . Will definitely be returning . Thank you so much 💓

Amazing little spot.

Comfy bed. Fully stocked kitchen. Fireplace and wood/kindling. Beautiful garden and super quiet! Adorable little space and great vibes.

The toiled was great and did its job and is really great that it's eco but it is a little challenging to use and the door isn't really thick so you're right next to bed taking a poo and as long as you're close enough for it, it works just fine 😀 If you're shy like me... it's a little harder. We had a solution- one of us goes outside during poo time to alleviate performance anxiety!

Gorgeous little hideaway

Everything! The hut was fantastic, lovely and clean lots of little touches that were very much appreciated. The log burner was great made it very cosy and certainly kept us nice and toasty. Would 100% reccomend for a quiet getaway.

We didnt realise on booking that it was an eco toilet, however it was a very decent setup and well done.

A wonderfully relaxing stay in lovely Wales !

We absolutely loved our stay here. We were attending a wedding nearby so stayed for the weekend. When we arrived everything was spotlessly clean and it was furnished beautifully. The owners also provided complimentary eggs, welsh cakes, milk, tea and coffee and hot chocolate and marshmallows! It is located in such a quiet and peaceful location and has a lovely decked area that we really enjoyed sitting out on. We loved the log burner too ! The owners were really friendly and approachable too. We highly recommend!

We loved the location, beautiful quiet and secluded. The hut was finished to a high standard, and we loved all the little finishing touches. A really relaxing stay. And the cat who came to visit was an added bonus.

We weren't keen on the style of loo, but appreciated that it was more eco-friendly than a flushing one.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dryw Bach! It was lovely and cosy, exactly what we needed. We loved the log burner and all the little thoughtful touches in the hut from the fresh eggs and Welsh cakes to the little Robins and mice carved out of wood. It was the perfect relaxing getaway and we would like to thank our hosts very much!!! We will definitely be back again and we can not wait! Thank you!! 😊

We couldn't really fault our stay. It was perfect little hut in the middle of nowhere where you can sit back and enjoy the view and listen to the animals. We got to meet the farm cats and the farm dogs too. We had all the facilities we needed for the weekend and loved the wood stove it kept it so toasty and warm. The radiator didn't work to well but we kept toast with the blankets and bedding at night time so wasn't a problem. The eco loo took getting used to at first but we eventually got used to the loo and was fine. Lots to do around so we spent most our days exploring the glorious countryside and brecon beacons. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Perfect couple's retreat

We stayed for 4 nights and is was the perfect tucked away spot for our castle visiting holiday. It was spotless, well equipped, cosy and romantic. The owners were helpful and friendly and we couldn't recommend this place highly enough! Just what we needed. Thank you

Little jam of a property

This gorgeous little cabin is hidden away, it is quiet and peaceful. There is a 10 minute drive through countryside to get to it but, this just shows how hidden it is. The beautiful little touches in the cabin make it such a pretty little slice of heaven. There is a wood burner, and it was nice to sit there early morning watching the birds out of the window with a cuppa and the fire going. There are no on lookers and you feel safe and very much on your own.

I loved it, the toilet was a surprise though. If I'm honest. It is eco friendly which is awesome but, it would make me think about who I would share the cabin with. I was on my own so it was OK. This wouldn't be an issue to most couples though but, as someone with bowel disease, I prefer to keep my toilet habits private.

A blissful break from the rat race

Wonderfully quiet location, the perfect place to take a break from work and relax. Great attention to detail by the owners and they even left us some fresh eggs, milk and other groceries for our first night. The gas hob was so fast and efficient, we plan to buy one for home as a backup! Lovely comfy bed (and I'm really fussy as I have a bad back). Plentiful hot water for showers and washing up and the pots, pans and crockery were of a very high standard. The 'hut' itself was also decorated to a very high standard and so cosy we didn't need to light the log burner. There is also a radiator if you'd prefer to use that instead, Convenient plug sockets for charging phones etc, lovely throws on the bed and sofa and hot water bottles showed that someone had really thought about 'home comforts'. On our first night we ate at the Torbay Arms, on the other side of Llandeilo, a very nice pub with friendly staff and patrons. The food was well cooked and plentiful and very reasonably priced. Llandeilo itself is a great place to spend a morning, the shops are all 'independents', there are galleries, a hand made chocolates shop, craft shops and a great bakery and plenty of coffee shops. If you like antiques visit The Works on Station Road, it's huge! Just a quick word about the 'wild life' . . . we were welcomed at Dryw Bach by Sweep, a very friendly cat, who was joined by his friend Smartie the next day when we had breakfast outside on the terrace. If you're not a fan of cats I'm sure they will take the hint if you shoo them away but, for us, it was a bonus.

Absolutely nothing, even the lack of wifi was a plus as far as we were concerned.

A TV would have gone a long way, but at the same time, we were very happy having a technology free weekend to relax
