We had a perfect relaxing break with beautiful scenery. We will be going back.

Our host was there to greet us. She was very helpful and thoughtful. She made us a cup of tea and a slice of cake which was a lovely touch after travelling for 6 hours.

The most beautiful place!

We loved everything about this beautiful place. The location was so relaxing and picturesque, such a difference to our busy city lives. Linda and Gwyn were two of the friendliest people we have ever met, nothing was too much for them, even offering to tumble dry my washing. Linda took her time to show us around the farm and explain how everything works! We were very interested. Loved the thumbs up from Gwyn each time he went past the kitchen window. We had a lovely welcome after a very long day (we went to Barry first) Linda met us at the front door and welcomed us in. A beautiful cake and the necessities were waiting for us. The cottage itself was beautiful, everything we needed and super comfortable! The biggest bath I’ve ever seen!! And luxurious beds. Waking up to a view like that each morning really has made me question my goals in life! This cottage is definitely going to become a part of our lives going forward, we have booked to go back already. Thank you once again Linda and Gwyn we will see you soon.

Highly recommended If you're looking for somewhere quiet as a base to explore mid Wales.

Linda and Gwynne are great hosts! I was ill just before our departure date and we weren't sure we were going to be able to make it but fortunately we did and we had a fantastic stay. The cottage is in a quiet location on a working farm with stunning views. Finished to a high standard and extremely comfortable, it was a real home from home. We had everything we needed. Highly recommended and thanks so much!

Honestly, there wasn't anything we didn't like. However, if there had been it would have been very easy to speak to the hosts about it as they checked in with us during our stay.

perfect in every way

Telephone call from host giving guidance on access - also provided clear directions to property. On arrival we found some essential provisions in the fridge, and there was a large cake on the table. Our hosts were both very friendly and told us about sheep dog trials being held in the village Accommodation was wonderful, with beautiful views, and had the benefit of a conservatory giving us the opportunity to sit and watch the adjacent flock of sheep

Everything about Cob Cottage is perfect. Beautiful scenery, a home from home and hosts who go above and beyond. It is quite simply the best accommodation we’ve stayed in; we read the excellent reviews prior to booking and our experience even surpassed our expectations. A huge thank you to Gwynne and Linda for being incredibly kind and making our stay extra special.

Exceptional

Cob cottage is set in beautiful surroundings and is truly a beautiful place. Cob cottage was exceptionally clean and tidy. Gwynne and Linda were perfect hosts and the welcome pack was much appreciated and our daughter really enjoyed the cakes 😊. Our daughter and our dog lol enjoyed watching the lambs, thank you a lovely break.

Perfect countryside farm location. We will certainly visit again.

Location was fantastic with superb views of sheep in the field and typical Welsh countryside views on both sides of the cottage. Comfortable and spacious lounge diner plus a kitchen with all the amenities that you could need. The two double en suite bedrooms was a real bonus.

Quiet New Year Getaway

Location was great, Host was great, greeted with a smile and a cake on arrival. Walked into the local town and there is a friendly local pub. there is a great restaurant near by in Tregaron too called Y Talbot which I thoroughly recommend

The perfect country getaway

Cob Cottage is the perfect location for us, quiet and peaceful and a beautiful walk down to the village. It is very well equipped, sparkling clean, warm and cosy with a fantastic terrace with views across the fields. Linda and Gwynne are wonderful hosts who are just next door to help you out should you need them.

A wonderful stay on a friendly welcoming working farm located in stunning countryside.

We enjoyed a lovely 4 night stay at Cob Cottage, the accommodation was perfect for our needs as it is a self contained cottage located on a working sheep farm in a beautiful rural location with stunning views across the fields and hills. The hosts Linda and Gwyn are very friendly, helpful and hospitable and provided a lovely welcome including a freshly baked cake which was an unexpected treat and very appreciated........thank you both so much. Linda also provided us with some essentials such as bread, butter, milk and orange juice to start us off which was again appreciated. We enjoyed watching Linda and Gwyn working their farm in the mornings and loved the four white horses frolicking in the field next to the farm. The cottage is self catering accommodation which was suitable for us during the time of COVID as we felt it was the safest option as we were with my elderly, disabled father.The cottage is clean, comfortable and has all the amenities to prepare meals and to relax if that is what you want.We didn't spend as much time at the cottage as we would have liked as we traveled around Ceredigion everyday by car as the cottage is a good base to explore the area. We ate out in local pubs two of our four night stay, one pub is in LLanddewi Brefi; the food was alright and reasonably priced. Tregaron is a few miles away and has a Spar to re stock on essentials. We enjoyed a great nights sleep every night as the area is so peaceful and a perfect place to relax and unwind.

Nothing not to like, the accommodation and hosts are lovely. If we had stayed a bit longer I might have asked Linda for a poacher so my husband could make some poached eggs for breakfast. The water in the bath / shower is nice and hot but the pressure is a bit low and so it runs slower than we are used to but it was no problem for us.

IF you want a quiet and relaxing place to stay with lovely views, you would love Cobb Cotage.

We were self catering, on arrival there was milk, bread, butter and cheese and a lovely home made cake. Tea and coffee and all we needed for laundry etc. Would highly recommend a say here, lovely surroundings and our hosts were amazing.

Sheer perfection!

We loved staying at Cob Cottage. The view was exceptional and seeing the animals grazing so close to us was brilliant. The cottage was very well equipped and very comfortable. We wanted for nothing. Linda and Gwynn were the best hosts we have ever had. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was absolutely perfect. The welcome pack they left in the fridge was very generous and they even left fresh flowers in the lounge for us. Linda very kindly baked some delicious fairy cakes to welcome us with. We would stay at Cob Cottage again at the drop of a hat! A huge thank you again to both of you for a delightful stay.

Amazing and Relaxing

Beautiful location away from everyone and stunning views in every direction. The cottage was so well equipped with everything you could need and Jan and Gwyn were brilliant hosts, relaxed, friendly and very hospitable. We had high expectations with all the previous great reviews and weren’t disappointed. Highly recommend a stay here, we didn’t want to leave this morning.
