Location on the esplanade with views of the sea was just lovely. Very comfortable, clean beds and couches. Lots of seating options a space for family of 4 adults. Walk in shower with easy to use taps. Felt like a very safe place. Staff were friendly. Checking in and out was easy. Parking on the street outside until midday was very handy.

The kitchenette, was handy, but not that well equipped ie no large saucepan with a lid for heating soup. When I asked reception they bought another slightly larger saucepan and explained that someone must have souvenired the saucepans! I would have thought inventory of rooms would be checked and replaced after each stay? There was no dish cloth, though we did have 2 tea towels, one of which was stained, so we used one of those as a dish cloth. The kitchen bench top and sink were greasy. The bathroom was very steamy and everything was dripping wet. The flooring in the shower was Lino and was obviously damp underneath. The window frames outside are in need of repair and windows cleaned. The vertical blinds in the front window were broken and the curtain would not easily run across the rail due to missing hooks. There were lolly wrappers under the bed from a previous guest. Definitely more attention to cleanliness, kitchen equipment and repairs required. Ok enough for a one night stay… pricey for state of repair.

The apartment is just really tired and some of the fixes would be so cheap it seems lazy not to do so. The shower room for room 2 is gross, black mould everywhere. The bin is vile, sink cracked, mirror broken, heated towel rail rusty and so dirty afraid to touch it. Tiles cracked, toilet doesn’t flush. Mattress in room 2 you can hear the springs breaking as you get into it and the towels provided were damp or had holes in them. Oven doesn’t work, no tea towels, security doors left unlocked, no cheese grater, no scissors - none of the doors stay open and the outside area is a sad little square with pathetic and awful fake grass . The whole apartment as it’s a basement apartment just smells awful. And no I didn’t register any of these with reception as the lack of eye contact when arriving was so disheartening and that matched with the volume of issues felt pointless.

It was nice and spacious, we stayed in one of the apartments, but 2 bedrooms didn’t have mirrors , which is a bit Annoying when your all trying to get ready at the same time .

Well the rest of our group arrived before me , and the receptionist was very rude to them , they got there about 12.00 . She said no cocktails has it was too early , so then one just wanted a latte she said no to that has the coffee machine wasn’t on . So just said normal coffee , they had enough by then and went to barvian down the road . But apart from her everyone was really nice

very disappointed with the cleaniness of the apartment. Staff were pleasant in the bar and restaurant though.

Location is good although parking limited. Could be a nice apartment if updated and cleaned properly.

There was a smell in the apartment. Clearly had been flooded recently with air fresheners to mask the smell. Shower drains had not been cleaned out. Bedroom door did not fit the frame so wouldn’t close. Tiling in the bathroom had massive gaps that small children could put fingers in. Food had been left in the freezer from previous occupants. Kitchen bin was not emptied or oven cleaned. Chairs were ripped. Generally in need of an upgrade and attention to detail when cleaning.

Amazing location right on sea front

Nice friendly owner/staff. Breakfast was fantastic. Location was spot on. I ordered flowers and wine for a gift for my friend as her birthday and that was achieved to perfection. My car broke down and the owner allowed us to stay in property beyond our allocated time until RAC arrived. Absolute kindness in it's self !!

Was not expecting the 3 bedrooms to lead through one another. Although we were great friends staying in the property it was not ideal having to walk through 2 bedrooms to the bathroom located and directly attached to the 3rd bedroom. Bit embarrassing for all concerned with the bathroom "ablutions and toilet use" were a nightmare for all concerned. Definitely a "family only" property. I am saddened to write this because the owner/staff went out of their way to be kind to us so no reflection on them........just the set out of the property which was not clear on the website or we would not have booked it

Just what we needed

We loved the location and the facilities. We had a whole apartment to ourselves and access to the hotel's facilities. It's quite a quirky apartment with a funny indoor open shower area and an astro-turfed mini-courtyard but it all worked out really well for us. Dog-friendly too, which was a big bonus.Very comfortable beds and exactly what we needed for our stay. We would recommend it and stay again.

The apartment wasn't that easy to identify/find as distinct from the hotel. The receptionist was overstretched and we felt 'processed', rather than welcomed. There was barely-rinsed crockery in the drainer and a very wet patch on the carpet, possibly caused by the en suite shower. There was no hot water until we figured out how to reset the boiler. We came back one morning to find a maintenance man fixing a clunky toilet cistern in the apartment which was a bit of a surprise.

We booked the 3 bed apartment. Upon arrival we were given keys for a two bed apartment. Upon showing our booking form, the receptionist allocated us extra rooms. This was definitely an upgrade so we were pleased.

Unnerving to be given the keys for a different apartment than what was booked.

Great location and staff, ideal for the comedy festival.

One of the rooms was also a fire exit so had a green glow through the night which would have been a problem if it was a different sort of trip. Also the kitchen was pretty limited, no oven only a microwave and hob.

Great access to the beach.

Broken shower flooded back area into third bedroom. Flooding in main bathroom made it unusable for a full day. Various broken equipment left in apartment Broken hand rail on backstairs. Majority of staff didn't seam to know how to deal with the mounting issues we kept experiencing.

Great location and excellent staff

The basement apartment is in a great location. Spacious, 2 bathrooms, big kitchen friendly and efficient staff. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Close to seafront (but no view) and town. Outside sitting yard/ area a bonus but could be improved. Access from car park as well as from the front of the hotel. Plenty of parking spaces as there are two car parks.

No curtains in the third bedroom only blind therefore very light when sunrise. Automatic/ sensor light in bathroom which is fine until it goes off when you’re in the shower and won’t come back on until you open the shower door and wave your hand! Wobbly handrail on stairs down to outside seating area.

Location was excellent, easy to get to from the town and beach House was spacious with good rooms for 6 people

The house smelt damp upon entry The blankets had stains There was a third push to use shower that smelt like urine as well as not stopping after it was activated There was dis used furniture dumped in the hall towards the rear door
