The chalet is absolutely gorgeous and situated in beautiful surroundings. It is such a peaceful place to be and right next to the dog field which was perfect for my black lab and children to have a run around in. The chalet was very well equipped. Everything was to such a high standard. Neighbours were really welcoming and I enjoyed listening to their stories about their childhoods in their chalets on the farm. It really is the best place I've ever stayed. I miss it already!! Initially I was a little worried as there was some confusion just after we had arrived in the chalet however, there was no need for worry as everything from then on was perfect. Thank you ❤️

An absolutely stunning spot in the world surrounded by such a picturesque landscape. The chalet had everything we needed, well equipped and clean. There is a large closed terrace with table, chairs and umbrella, which we haven't seen in the photos so that was a bonus. There were plenty of board games for evenings, kids toys, books, clean, new equipment for cooking, enclosed field for dogs to run, comfy beds, nice blankets and linen.
These are just suggestions for improvement...they did not affect our stay. Even though we didn't use it, the top bunk is quite high and not too secure so any kid that moves around in sleep could fall down. Recycling bins could have been added and windows cleaned from the outside. The glass hallway is very dated and full of bugs and flies from the bushes climbing around so this space deserves an update, but we didn't use it. Some places also need new coat, but again, we haven't seen it as a problem.

The view from the accommodation was outstanding. The chalet occupies the best position in the park and isn't overlooked at all. The site is very quiet and the local area is beautiful. There's long sandy beaches and lots of interesting shops and cafes to explore. The chalet is very well equipped. The WiFi was good. It's great for dogs as the front is very secure.
I think if I were to be completely honest, I felt a little disappointed when we arrived. The chalet is listed as luxury and we did not feel it was. We would describe it more as a cosy lodge, but felt that many things didnt constitute the word luxury, such as the original carpets (1980's?) and the smell of damp when we entered. Sadly the conservatory was not usable as there was no heating in it and the walls and windows were dripping with water. This cut our seating space down by half and we did feel a little hemmed in. The chalet was absolutely freezing when we arrived and it took a couple of hours for the place to start to warm. The bedding was freezing when we got in. I felt as though the whole chalet needed a day or so of heating before we arrived. As another reviewer mentioned, the sheets were creased as though someone else had slept in them. Four of us booked but we were only given two bath towels. There was a problem with the drinking water which meant we had to buy bottled water. We didn't know until we arrived that the water there isn't drinkable and only one tiny tap for drinking. We managed though and the hosts did respond immediately. The driveway to the lodge was very muddy and our car skidded a few times as we tried to reverse up. The TV isn't a smart one so didn't connect to the Internet. This was a shame as we only managed BBC1 in the evenings. It's pitch black at night but the outside light wasn't working. We tried it but my husband said it was making an 'arcking' sound whilst flickering. The electric meter door cupboard blew open overnight so we were lucky we didn't lose electric.
