We're quiet, friendly and love to travel. Our native language is English, but also speak French, some Cantonese, as well as a little Mandarin and Spanish. We embrace all cultures and lifestyles, having lived in places as diverse as Lille (France), Indonesia, New York, Hong Kong, London, Taipei, and Thailand. We look forward to making your stay with us as pleasant, convenient, and affordable as possible (local hotels $200 - $500 night). We’re just a regular Canadian family.

Activities while staying at Dejavu are abundant. You can do anything from spending the day whale watching or kayaking on the ocean, to hiking and biking through the lush rainforest around Vancouver, or hike to the top of the 4,000 foot Grouse Mountain and take in the spectacular view above the city. If relaxing is more the idea, a game of golf on championship greens or a relaxing treatment at one of the local spas might be a nice alternative.

Let Dejavu be your base to explore its many wonders!

• Richmond Night Market
• Richmond Olympic Oval Training Center
• Grocery, Starbucks, bank, restaurants, pub, nail / hair salon
• Shopping Malls: Richmond Center, Lansdowne,Yaohan Center, Aberdeen Mall

Combining spectacular natural beauty and a prime waterfront location, Vancouver has captivated the imagination of travelers the world over. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and the Coastal Mountains, Mother Nature pulled out all the stops when she created “Canada’s Golden Child”. Vancouver is an experience, not a vacation, and you have to see it to believe it.

At Dejavu you are just steps away from an adventure that you’ll treasure forever…

If you're looking for a clean room in a safe and convenient neighborhood close to both the airport as well as the bustling culture and plethora of dining options that central Richmond has to offer, then make our home your home.

We are just steps to the bus stop. From there it's a 5-minute ride to Richmond Center and the Canada Line which whizzes you downtown in less than half an hour. We are less than 10 minutes from Vancouver and also from the airport by car.
You will have use of the outdoor pool (seasonal), deck and outdoor fireplace.
We offer wifi and free visitor parking.

We have a small dog who is very friendly and well-behaved. Be forewarned, he will probably bark at you upon your arrival, but give it a couple of minutes and he'll be wanting you to play ball with him. Our little guy is non-shedding so people allergic to pet fur are typically fine around him.

Amenities & Details:

• Thermostat / Heater in Room
• Dishwasher
• Swimming Pool (seasonal)
• WIFI
• Microwave
• Hot Water Kettle
• Parking On Site & free overflow
• Toaster
• Towels

We do our best to keep nature out, but we do not use pesticides in or around the home. Sometimes nature happens and you should be ok with that before booking.

We’re more a guest / farmhouse than BnB., with a twist of Fawlty Towers sprinkled in. We don’t claim to be perfect, but we do offer an authentic, budget friendly experience with a regular Canadian family.

• Your room has a locking door with keys, so come and go as you please. Integrate or isolate. No worries.

Great place overall. One area in need of improvement is the freshness of the towels.

Tammy and Will are outstanding hosts. They operate what I viewed as a bed and breakfast style accommodation from their personal home. They were patient with the American and his many questions and they flew the American flag on July 4th. There is a strong sense of family and community. The Richmond area is a well settled suburban area of Vancouver. You will need to be able to walk for food and amenities. The bus and train are easy to access. I highly recommend staying with Tammy and Will if you are a solo traveler looking to explore Vancouver.

The property is located in an affluent Asian neighborhood and is estimated to be worth millions. There is a bus taking me right from the train station to a stop near the house, which is only a short walk away. I was given a room, among others, on the second floor. Love the spacious room and the big windows, small fridge, coffee brewer, etc that come with it. However, there is something worth mentioning, and it's never disclosed to me that all guests have to share an oversized bathroom. Fortunately, other guests and I did not spend a long time occupying the bathroom for ourselves. There is something called consideration for others. But I could have asked more questions about the existence of the " Bathroom sharing" feature of the said property before booking. Guess I lucked out staying with other well-mannered guests in the same property. The living room and the adjoining kitchen are the common area. The swimming pool lies right outside of it. One just opens the patio door and takes a few steps to reach it. Unfortunately, the pool is off-limits until June 20, 2025. The owner decided to keep all windows closed and not turn on the ventilation. That makes the air a little stale. For that reason, I chose not to overstay in the common area. Instead, I spent my time in my room with large windows wide open.

This was a perfect base while being close to the airport and really close to the local transit system to get around the city. Perfect home, quiet neighbourhood and great hosts. Would highly recommend.
