I booked this as a gift for for my parents and they had a lovely stay. The staff were very welcoming, the room was impeccably furnished and they enjoyed their meal.

Delightful, well-prepared room in a recently renovated stone barn/ stables behind the main Fountaine Inn building.
Attractive location adjoining the village green, with stream, pack-horse bridges and stone cottages. The Fountaine Inn had thoughtfully provided a leaflet with three suggested walks, from easy to moderate. We were there for one night only, but would happily spend a longer in future, as Wharfedale has so much to see and enjoy.
Though it was an easy walk into Grassington, along the river and past the Falls, Linton offers a very different experience to visitors: quieter, more relaxing and (controversial this one!) more picturesque.
A wide choice at breakfast and good pub food in the evening, with a choice of eating in the restaurant or lively bar. Friendly staff.
Bizarrely, our room was, if anything, too hot. We would have mentioned this had we been staying more than one night.

The bedroom was decorated to a very high standard with a very comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and there was plenty of choice for the evening meal.I would have liked a choice of pastries and some fresh fruit at breakfast as I don’t eat cooked breakfasts. Toast is usually provided free of charge and so to be asked to pay for toast was unusual and I declined it therefore.
