We were walking The Dales Way and arrived on a very wet Sunday afternoon. The staff at the pub were extremely welcoming and reserved us a table for dinner. The shepherds hut was lovely and cosy (underfloor heating), exactly what we needed after a long wet walk! The breakfast hamper was very welcome too.

Everything we needed and lots of things to do close by Inc walks, waterfalls, steam train and gardens.

Clean and comfortable, with lovely welcome basket and useful local information provided. Shower was good and hot, heating worked a treat and beautiful location. Only improvement would be a topper on the mattress and you could feel the springs and a shelf in the bathroom.
