Do not stay here at all they will hold your deposit and accuse you of theft so they don’t have to pay you back

The property is very dated and there are better properties in the area The property takes a deposit of £100 then blames you for taking things and holds the deposit this is a con

Clean and comfortable stay

So pleased there was a bedroom downstairs as I have knee problems and couldn't make it up the staircase as it was so very steep. Lovely and clean rooms downstairs didn't see upstairs but my friends said they were nice. Well equipped with towels bedding and loo paper toiletries ect. Kitchen was also well equipped and spotless

On arrivel we were a bit scared of the neighbours cos they looked like they were on drugs and were asking us for fags.....a blind in the kitchen would of been nice because we felt they could be looking in and the stairs were so steep I couldn't go up them but the owner said there is plans to improve this next year. The property could benefit from a full-length glass mirror. There was something on the wall but not a mirror.

Good value for money

Good value for money and helpful staff. Walking distance to town centre.

Very cramped communal space for 7 people. No locks for the bathrooms. Mouldy smell in downstairs bedroom. No wine or Prosecco glasses. Only one roll of toilet paper in each toilet so had to buy more. Only one towel provided on double bed and I booked for 8 people.

Very few pans, mugs, glasses certainly not enough for 8 people. Only a very small dining area with 5 chairs, no comfy chairs Cold we couldn't adjust the heating

property was in need of a lot of work, the area it’s situated in is extremely rough. neighbours causing chaos fighting in street playing music till all hours and extremely hostile, would be very concerning if women and children booked.

Location was ideal. Beds very comfortable. Having washing and drying facilities was an extra bonus.

Stairs: The stairs is not safe, especially for young children. The house was very cold on arrival but that was sorted with a text message (Thank you) All internal doors need working locks. Upstairs bathroom needs a lock and maybe install a shower curtain so other guests can't see through the glass toilet door.

Bad

location and parking

The hosts had had a bad guest the night before meaning extra cleaning was required. They hadn't had time to dry the sheets or towels properly, despite moving our check in time back to 16:30 while we were already en route. The sheets and towels were wet but they put them on the bed anyway to try and get away with it. It wasn't their fault they had bad guests, but i personally would have nipped to matalan and bought some new bedding and towels. They'd get to keep them as spares for the future to avoid this situation and over the year it wouldn't have been a major cost to the business. Instead they put wet towels and bedding on the bed and acted like it was ok. We got there and the cleaners were still cleaning. We put some drinks in the fridge. There were still some drinks in the fridge which had apparently been left by the previous nights guests. The cleaners then emptied all the drinks including the ones we'd just bought and put them outside in a binliner! Luckily we realised in time before they went in the bin (or back to their house?). They offered us a 10% discount for this, laughable after sleeping in wet bedding and not being able to have a shower before we went out due to the wet towels. They even suggested that the drinks they gave us back after nearly throwing them away were some sort of bonus that should contribute to compensation. Embarrassing. Check out the screenshots of the conversation! We did break a glass! Sorry about that.

It was clean and had been done up to look nice.

Even being newly refurbished, there was a lot of work stuff still lying about the garden. Shower was falling off the wall Duvet still damp
