Lovely location, rooms and restaurants. Kids loved the park seeing the horses nearby
We were really looking forward to our Easter family break, but unfortunately our experience was impacted . Our original room door wouldn’t lock, which meant we had to be moved into two separate rooms. This completely took away from the purpose of our trip—to spend time together as a family.
It also made the night very difficult, as our youngest was unsettled and upset being separated from her dad and sister, so none of us got much sleep.
While we appreciate the issue with the room was addressed, the alternative arrangement impacted our stay. We hope more consideration can be given to keeping families together in situations like this.

We booked an overnight stay during Easter weekend and incorporated a Sunday lunch at The Orangery into our plans. I have to say, it did not disappoint. The food, hotel, staff and surroundings are exceptional. An absolute gem of a find. We had the added bonus of a pianist during Sunday lunch and the tipi was onsite for a cosy afternoon drink. We stayed in a lakeside cabin, which has a four poster bed and a spa bath on the veranda overlooking the lake. There is also designated parking adjacent to the cabins for ease of access.
Couldn’t find any negatives but we have an electric car and didn’t realise until checkout that the hotel has charging points!
