Micklegate Residence

AMAZING PLACE! Oh my goodness I can't say enough good things about Micklegate Residence. The space was so much larger than I'd expected with incredible views of beautiful old buildings. It was clean and absolutely gorgeous, with lovely old beams in the living room that added incredible character. The location is fantastic, within walking distance to the train station and the city center. We didn't want to leave. Our family of five adults were extremely comfortable and would absolutely stay again! The hosts were highly responsive to all of my questions as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Beautiful appartment with historical charm in a great area, centrally situated, spacious and with all the amenities promised. We would have given it a perfect score except for the luggage misunderstanding and policy.

Wouldn’t allow us to leave luggage before check in, which was late. The Appartment contact suggested we could leave luggage at a place that had gone out of business. The contact had said leaving luggage would cost a pound a bag. It cost us 7 pounds a bag. We had to leave luggage when we arrived and we left. We had 10 bags for 5 of us. One checked bag and one carry on each. Left Luggage even charged 7 pounds for small bags. We ended up spending 140 pounds for leaving luggage at Left Luggage before and after trip. We would have appreciated knowing this before hand.

A fabulously historic property with all the modern conveniences. A great location to see all the local sites too.
