Lovely place to rest with a brilliant breakfast

Breakfast was incredible - an amazing spread! Richard was very welcoming. Room was a nice size and bed was comfortable.

I asked for the tea station and it dudnt arrive despite ringing the bell, calling and texting the number to ask for it.

Convenient but not much more.

The location, directly opposite the hospital. Richard was very friendly and helpful.

No refund was possible either for the fact that we were unable to have any breakfast, for medical reasons, or that I was discharged early from hospital so we didn't need to stay the second night. Room was very small.

Ideal for a short stay

Although the breakfast was continental there was more than plenty of it with a a great variety and freshness.

It's amazing how different water from home made the tea a different taste!

This accommodation was ideally situated in Winchester, close to bus route in to town.

Room was warm and well equipped with tea/ coffee making facilities, TV, towels. Breakfast tray was superb, fresh and catered for our dietary needs. Free, easy car parking. Richard was very welcoming.

Christmas market break 🌲

Great location,right near bus stop for town, station etc. comfy bed with all that you need for stay with added bonus of fridge in room which wasn't expecting! Richard the host was Very pleasant and helpful, will definitely stay again if in Winchester 😁

A little noisy in mornings as opposite hospital,but didn't wake me up, since there's a pub at top of road, it could be a little noisy from people walking down road in evening....but that's not hosts fault. Could do with a hook behind door for coats

Great stay with a good continental breakfast

For us the location was perfect, just 15 mins walk from train station and close to a couple of local pubs . The owner was good with communication and flexible .

Only negative point would be that the room we had was minimum size as a twin room. Then again we were only sleeping at the hotel and not spending time there.

Ideally located for the start of the South Downs Way and within walking distance from the train station. Self check in was made easy via instructions from the host.

Comfortable, quiet and relaxing are three words rarely used to summarise a city break.

Although a 15 minute walk from the city centre Queens Road compensated by having very little external noise - wood pigeons exempted - and was a very well kept property. Richard was very helpful when I arrived and made me welcome. My room was well furnished with a good supply of towels for the ensure, a kettle, TV and ironing board - I only used the kettle. It took me a while to become acquainted with the pressure and water temperature of the shower but I got the hang of it. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. I did a lot of walking over the weekend and the breakfast set me up very well for the rest of the day.

A few more tea bags available in the room would have been nice (I drink a lot of tea).

We will never forget this breakfast

Richard is such a wonderful host. Gives a lot of good advices for Winchester. Location is great with approximate a 15 minute walk to the cathedral. There is no noise at all so we slept with an open window. Highlight has been the breakfast that Richard let on a tray and a table outside of the room at the agreed time. There was orange juice, coffee, tea, toast, croissant, butter, cheese, cornflakes, fruits, joghurt, fruitbars, etc. We had no idea that it will be possible to put so much on that tray. We will never forget this.

The only item that we struggled a bit with has been the temperature of the shower. It will take around 30 seconds until the temperature adjusts to the setting.

Wonderful Place to Stay in Winchester

Only stayed one night but next time I am in Winchester I will definitely stay at 31 Queens Road again. I don't think I have ever slept better and I am absolutely sure that I have never had such a superb breakfast at any other time in my life. The premesis is located close to the delightful Winchester CBD and it's amazing cathedral. Richard is a gracious host with excellent information regarding local eateries and facilities.

Great for our one night stay

This was a great stop off point for us travelling back from France. The owner was very friendly and recommended somewhere for an evening meal. The continental breakfast was really good. The owner had good local knowledge.

Far exceeded our expectations, Richard was incredibly helpful and we would stay there again.

Location was excellent, very close to the city centre yet really quiet. Breakfast was really good and much more than we expected.

My one suggestion is that you remove the leaves from the area in front of the garage. We parked there and felt very guilty as we brought leaves on our shoes into the beautifully clean house.

We stayed one night to explore Winchester. The room was clean and tidy and we were provided with an amazing breakfast tray. It is a fair walk into town up/down a hill but buses run regularly and stop right by Queens Road. Overall an excellent trip

Nice and tidy room, close to Winchester city centre and walking distance from facilities. Room was very clean with all toiletries available, complete breakfast was brought on demand for me in the early morning

Frindly reception but very poor accomodation

Extremely small bed room and small toilett. There was no breakfast room in the house, so breakfast was served in the room. We had to sit on the beds due to lack of space, which became very inconvenient

Winchester was wonderful. The same breakfast for three mornings running was not enjoyable.

The location was good and we enjoyed our walks into Winchester. The breakfast was left on a tray outside our room, which was very small, so we did not have much room to eat our breakfast - either sitting on the bed or kneeling down. They had converted the upstairs to 4, probably very small rooms, small bathroom and no soundproofing. We could hear our neighbours the first night in their bathroom. Richard was nice when we saw him. No-one was there when we left. I only saw e-mails when I got back home yesterday evening.

It was a tray continental breakfast left at our door. I dont know why, I dont know if they usually have a dining room but there was plenty of choice and it was all very nice.

Very clean, generous breakfast delivered to your door. Good parking. Did the job for a 1 night stay (we were going to a wedding nearby).

We mistakenly thought we'd booked a hotel - this is very much a B&B and think that should be clearly stated. Bathroom was very small, decour dated and sound travels very easily.
