Location was fantastic!

Minimal cooking utensils

We loved this accommodation in the heart of beautiful Bayeux! It is a beautiful place in an historic building with modern amenities. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and spacious. Great help with recommendations for local dining.

We took the Train from Paris and it took 2.5 hours. We were able to walk from the train station to the rental apartment. We had small roller bags and backpacks. It was about 3/4 of a mile. We found the location easily using Google Maps and access was also well instructed. Stairway up to the second and third floors are narrow so big suitcases might be an issue. The apartment was clean and well equipped. And we loved the location. We were right in the downtown Bayeaux neighborhood so we could meet our guides for the Normandy tours. We walked easily to restaurants and the cathedral. Beds were very comfortable and shower and bathroom good.

Pros: The location can’t be beat. Interior decor is great.

Cons: If you are not slim, this is not the home for you. The entry and stairs are exceptionally narrow. A plus size person could not fit. The shower sprayer has no attachment so it just lays on the floor, and you must hold it the entirety of the shower. We visited in November and despite freezing temps, all of the here’s were off. We had to turn them on and wait for the place to heat up. —it never did. The beds had no top sheet - just a fitted sheet and a comforter. No blankets supplied so we were absolutely miserably cold. Filthy towels in the kitchen to dry your hands (they literally looked like someone used it to scrub a floor). Used sponge to wash dishes. The kitchen doesn’t have any drawers for utensils, and when I asked the host where to find them, his response back just asked if I was serious (come on - you are hosting international guests - don’t be a jerk). For whomever needs to know, there are drawers in the table (I’d never seen that before). The silverware are in one of the drawers, but are just thrown in - no organizer, just a mass of utensils.
