We had a wonderful time in beautiful Bayeux and this very French characterful property added to our enjoyment.

Excellent location and a very comfortable homely accommodation. Well equipped with all that is needed. Grocery store very near and marvellous boulangerie!

The bathroom facilities were a little odd in that there was a Jack and Jill bathroom which the two main bedrooms shared , however this was quite amusing as we are close family. May be a little more tricky if you aren’t that familiar with Your fellow travellers 🤣

A very satisfying stay!

The owner is super warm and welcoming, who gave us a lot of advice and information before our arrival. The apartment is close to everything, spacious and well-equipped. The kitchen has sufficient supplies and many towels. The living space has the most comfortable sofa area during our 3-week trip.

This is the BEST place to stay!

Amandine has to be the best hostess ever! She met us and warmly welcomed us to her apartment. It was beautifully furnished and it was evident that this apartment, which had been in the family for generations, has been lovingly and tastefully restored and made to be comfortable for its guests on every level. Many original parts of the apartment remain intertwined with more modern upgrades. It felt like home away from home. A lovely welcome basket of regional goodies awaited us. Every room met our needs perfectly. The apartment is located just off the main thoroughfare of Bayeux and made for easy access to regional history, restaurants, markets and stores as well as the beautiful Cathedral which we could see from our apartment. We were also able to visit all 5 of the Normandy Beaches by renting a car in nearby Caan. It was the perfect apartment for all of our needs. Amandine kept in touch with us throughout our stay unlike many other hosts that give you the key and then vanish. She was helpful and encouraging and most hospitable- a rare gem!

We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again.

As a family of 4 we loved everything about this home. It was comfortable and had all of the things we needed for our stay in Bayeux. Instructions for accessing the property were sent a few days prior to our stay so we didn't have to worry about whether or not we would be able to get in and the keys were easy to pick up. Francois was timely with replies to the few questions we had, which included the phone number for a local taxi so we could pick up our rental car. Samandine Home had amazing views of the Catherdral, was walkable to shops and restaurants, and had a washing machine which was a huge plus. We were also able to find a photo of the street from 1936 and we loved the authentic, historic feeling of this area.
