Brewery Cottage

We used Brewery Cottage as a base for an event we were having at the local Rugby Club, the location to the main Town Abingdon was excellent and it was not too far away from the Rugby Club. The Cottage itself was very spacious for the 4 of us (all Adults) it's well furnished and all the necessities are there, also there is a secluded courtyard and that's well furnished too, although because of our event we didn't get to use it all to its full advantage nevertheless the place was a perfect need for what we wanted and I would certainly recommend it, it's well worth it.

Nothing really, everything was good and we didn't need for anything but if I wanted to pick fault maybe a couple of more Hand Towels in the Bedrooms 😂

Great cottage. Well appointed clean and comfortable. Excellent location. Felt like a real holiday while visiting family

The only tiny improvement would be to have shampoo and body wash in the bathrooms.

Great location, very clean with very good facilities. Some interesting decor based on the local area and brewery. Nice outdoor area too. Very comfortable and ideal for a visit to Abingdon. Great bus service to Oxford. Situated next to a nice pub which does a great Sunday lunch. An easy walk into town where there are nice shops and a very good Waitrose as well as the river and Thames path.

The bedrooms would benefit from some better blinds or curtains as the current ones allow lots of light in which makes it harder to sleep as there is a lot of outdoor. lighting in the vicinity which is on all night. The outdoor seating area would benefit from an umbrella, especially in the current weather. Some of the kitchen equipment is a bit tired and we couldn’t find any oven gloves; the dishwasher isn’t cleaning properly and we wondered if it might need some salt?

Great central location with parking spaces for two cars. Plenty of space inside and storage. Bed sheets and towels were clean. We appreciated the large fans in each of the main rooms. Host was very responsive and pleasant. Enjoyed some amazing food and drinks at The Brewery Tap nearby. Can thoroughly recommend the brisket!

The half drunk bottle of orange Oasis and crumbs on the dining room table on arrival. The dirty brown water in the washing up bowl in the kitchen sink. The bits all over the work surfaces and floors both upstairs and down. Toothpaste splatters on the en suite mirror. Dried on food in places, stains, marks and rips/threads hanging on some of the furniture. The microwave caked inside with dried on food. Foot shape stains and other horrible stains on the bedroom carpets. The place was filthy! Also, we needed a hand held shower head for my daughter who has dyspraxia, which affects her coordination and motor skills. The photos on Booking.com showed hand held showers but when we got there, we noticed they had changed them to just overhead showers. The host kindly offered to send the cleaner round again but it needed a thorough deep clean and we set to vacuuming and cleaning the best we could on arrival, in this current heatwave. We were sweltering and ended up only staying one night, for a number of reasons. The WiFi wouldn’t work either. Very disappointing.
